Clover may need to rethink this bard thing. He just wanted to sing about saving the world, not be the reason it needs saving!

Clover (the totally normal and not at all a fairy bard) tagged along with Landreth (the tall, dark, mysterious, and unfairly attractive mercenary) hoping for some inspiration and adventure.

Clover signed up for monster guts, long nights, and rushing across Midgard at the heels of a handsome knight who wouldn’t give him the time of day. He did NOT sign up for schemes of gods hundreds of years in the making, an army of undead threatening to destroy the whole world, or the dark secrets of his anamnestic past coming back to literally haunt him as angry ghosts.

Bards aren’t meant to save the world themselves, and Clover is currently (maybe) the villain! Good thing Landreth is more than just a normal sellsword and might be the hero the world needs. Clover will just repent for all his (arguably) evil past actions while helping the handsome hero save the day. At least this will make one Hel of a ballad if Clover manages to survive this.

Hel Bound Bard is part of the Fairies of Yggdrasil series. This means it takes place in the same setting as Iron Blood Bride (though this story is its own and no knowledge of IBB is needed to read).
