Asphodel, known as the most ruthless and fearsome country in the whole continent.
And one person hailed from this country was known to be 'Hell Flower'.
A war hero and general of the army of the empire Asphodel. Known for her sworn loyalty to the empire, she is both feared and celebrated by it's people.
Rumor has it that she would bathe in her enemies blood, kill them on sight without any remorse and give no mercy to those who dare go against her.
Tales about her heroism and deeds in the battlefield immediately made her rose to fame but even though she is a hero known throughout the whole continent, there are still whom harbor ill will towards this gallant figure.
But even if there were rumors that aims to taint her image, it was all for naught. For the people knows that it is no tall tale that she was one of the key figures that led the army of Asphodel to victory.
She was the war general who relentlessly fought with the empire's enemy and made sure that their harbor was safe from harm.
Day and night she protected them and now her awaited return has come.
"Glory upon Asphodel!"
The soldiers who were standing guard energetically greeted her.
But their trembling hands could not hide what they truly feel, coming face to face with the alpha, Zora Clyborne. Who is also known for her other nicknames; The Crimson Witch and Hell Flower.
"At ease, I am here to see the Emperor."
Zora was used to these kind of reactions from common soldiers of their rank. Soldiers who have never even tasted war was merely intimidated by her presence. If looks could truly kill they would have definitely been lying dead by now because of how much they tremble, and their eyes shake so much, it's actually uncomfortable to look at them.
It might be because she was also an Alpha but she was never truly proud of that.
Being an Alpha in this country requires you to have great responsibility; to take up arms and go to war. Their reason being is because Alpha are much more stronger and much more powerful than the omegas and betas who are usually common folks that get to enjoy their peaceful lives within the borders, never knowing what tragedy befalls us; who was tasked to tiptoe and dance with death all the time.
The soldiers immediately open the huge door with it's eccentric design and gold linings revealing a lone man buried behind piles of paperworks with his eyebrows furrowed and his hand moving at the speed of light as he sign letters after letters.
"Didn't I said that I am not to be disturbed at this hour specifically?"
He said without even looking up and he just continued writing whatever it is on the piece of paper that looks like it's about to be pierced by the pen that he is gripping ever so tightly. He is truly a hard worker and that is one of his qualities Zora admires. He is a man befitting of his position.
Although, she does worries about him from time to time. The reason is he most of the time forgets to take care of himself and even skips his meals.
Davien, her childhood friend was none other than the current Emperor of Asphodel and as always, like they promised to each other before Zora left for the war, they would meet each other like this once in a while when she returns.
He is also an Alpha and he is happily married to his wife who is an omega. They already have three children, all has taken his looks and his snotty attitude that she remembers back when they were just children.
When the door closed behind her, she stands in position and offers a sincere salute towards her childhood friend who seems to be so focused on what he is doing.
Zora did come unannounced and this would be her attempt at surprising her one and only dear friend.
"Glory upon Asphodel! I came here to personally report, Your Majesty."
Zora smiles as she saw realization finally dawn on her old friend's face.
Davien slowly looks up from the tower of papers blocking his sight, never imagining that Zora will return unscathed. All her limbs are intact and that same smug look on her face before she left is the same expression she has now on her face.
"Too surprised to talk are we?"
Davien stood up immediately knocking down a few sheet of paper on his desk and with shock in his eyes took a closer look at Zora, touching her face.
"This... This is real, right? Y-you... You're alive?"
Zora scoffed and held his hand that was touching his face.
"Sadly for you, I am alive and well, Your Majesty."
Tears eventually fall from Davien's eyes filled with warmth and love. He heard how dire the situation was and that his friend Zora, was sent on the frontlines to fight.
"I missed you, Zora."
He said in a relieved tone.
"I missed you too, Davien."
The two looked deep into each other's eyes and there mirrored was their desire for each other.
Zora know things will go down this route again. For as much as he desire her, she desires him too, to the point that she did consider once to murder this man's wife and children just to have him all to herself.
Davien leans close to her and it was as if thirst took over them, and their lips smashed against each other without any second thought or care for what this forbidden connection's consequences are.
With longing and passion they have hid away for too long they wasted no time as they hungrily kiss each other with deep passion.
Davien was growing impatient and his kisses trail from her lips to her neck while his hands move fast to undress Zora who was doing the same thing.
It wasn't long after that their clothes were scattered on the ground and their kisses only became hotter as Davien push Zora, with her unbuttoned blouse on top of his desk.
Davien, threw all reason aside along with his shirt as he grabs his childhood friend by her neck and started kissing her all over again.
Zora's mind was starting to feel cloudy and she can feel her body temperature rising as the tension between them thickens.
The pleasure was all she can think about or so she thought.
Zora shut her eyes as the words deep inside her heart unlock itself and filled her mind.
'I will never come to own you, won't I? Davien?'
She sighs and let out a small moan with her eyes fluttering open to look at the boring plain colored ceiling of this office that she couldn't even count how many times they had intercourse in.
This sickening place where even someone like a close friend can plot against you.
'Davien, you were truly a great actor but for now, let me enjoy every last bit of you before I decide what to do with you. You, who sent me to the front lines to die and throw away like a piece of garbage that had served it's purpose well.'
Zora whispers in his ear and he answered with only a hum.
"You will always be my favorite."
Davien looks at her, his eyes the same expression he used to show her. The same expression that fooled her to the point of believing every word that comes out of his mouth.
"You are my favorite too, Zora."
Zora smirked before leaning in to kiss him for what could be the last time.
'You fucking liar.' was the thought that crossed her mind as Davien lavishly kiss her body as if attempting to swallow her whole.
