Atsuko (14) is the daughter of a Japanese man and Romanian woman. After an ugly divorce, Atsuko is taken by her mother to Romania, to a village where she has never been before: the place where her mother spent her childhood. Unlike other places she’s seen around the country, this village seems to be forgotten, stuck in the past, but quiet and pleasant. However, she is bound to discover the place is not so heavenly after all.
