BEEP!
BEEP!
BEEP!
The sound of my alarm clock ricocheted off my bedroom walls as it went off. I quickly grabbed it and turned it off, groggily slipping out of bed.
It was seven in the morning,
And school started at seven-thirty.
"Damn thing, always wakes me up late." I think to myself.
My mom came in not a moment later, yelling at me.
Right on time.
"For the love of God Natalie! This is the third time this week I've had to tell you to hurry your ass up!"
I cringed.
Being a closeted transgender male meant I'd still be called by my dead name, I'd hoped to change that soon.
You see, I've already come out to my parents as queer, they were more than happy to accept me.
I know that'll change when I come out as trans.
"S'not my fault." I say, groggily.
My mom looked at me as if I were crazy.
"What do you mean, 'Its not your fault'? It can't be mine or your fathers! Now get up and get dressed, we're going to Dunkin' Donuts for breakfast."
I was more than happy to get up after that.
