Dragons.
Powerful and glorious creatures. Feared throughout the world. But the reign of the dragons...had come to an end when humans have taken the blood of any one of the majestic beasts and soon enough, humans have gotten the upper hand in the war. But soon the hybrids have become feared and they would be hunted...but due to the threat of the dragons, the hybrids had to remain. Since hybrids couldn't be extinct as the dragons along with the all powerful Dragon Kings sealed away, if hybrids went extinct, the human race would be easy pickings. So they were incredibly hostile and passive aggressive towards them. Hybrids do walk amongst humans but all hybrids made a solemn vow not to reveal that hybrids still exist amongst the human race and all the threats that would put the humans in danger would be dealt with quickly and unseen. The best kind of passive aggression? Pretend that they don't exist.
That act of discrimination just helped the Hybrids. As they turned what was used to harm them into their greatest asset and their greatest weapon. They effectively hid their existence from the entire world. As they knew. Time is on their side.
And in time. The general populace, humanity. Had forgotten The Hybrids. The Hybrids always smile when they are told the reason of why they had to keep what they are a secret. No Hybrid was angry about their hidden existence nor about the war they continue to fight.
The Hybrids still exist. They are hidden from the populace. Regarding their history, it's been regarded as that.
History.
But it didn't remain that way.
One battle.
One event.
It had revealed the hybrid's war against the Dragon threat had been revealed to the human masses.
First reaction? Panic, sheer panic.
Second reaction? demands of answers and fury (at the same time; it was horrifying).
The elder hybrids (namely one) has explained everything about what has been happening along with the threats that the hybrids have been facing without the knowledge of the general populace nor anything involving military, they have members within the military and multiple government to help with the cause of keeping the Hybrid/Dragon war a complete secret from the entire world including the military forces that is 'supposed' to be defending the world. Many of the populace were shocked and horrified about what has been happening and has been purposely hidden from them. That includes the deaths of the warriors, young and old; that have lost their lives against the Dragons.
There is also something that the general populace, and most historians tend to overlook if not straight up forget about until it is brought up and has caused thousands upon thousands of debates about.
The Dragon Hierarchy.
But hybrids have been taught this. It's one of the first lessons that they have when they learn about their heritage and are sent to the proper facility to teach them how to control their powers and to learn about their heritage by 'sent'; they are found and brought to the facility, very few slip through the cracks. The tracking process is incredibly complex and incredibly thorough. Their track net of finding hybrids, including ones that haven't found out yet or their hybrid genes haven't kicked in yet, is a very intricately weaved web and sweeps the entire world every 10-15 nanoseconds. The reason for this insanity (as stated by every police/task force ever)? No stone left unturned. A rogue hybrid is a danger to not just to everyone around them but especially to themselves. If left unchecked, the hybrid will go on a killing spree and their own unstable genetics will have them killed.
The facility? It's a school.
The need to know The Dragon Hierarchy?
The hybrids; no matter how old, need to know where they came from and which dragon is which and which bloodline is which so that they know what kind of abilities that they would inherit from said bloodline or what they themselves have manifested.
After all, every dragon is different.
And the more information. The better.
The Dragon Hierarchy is as follows:
The Royal Dragons (also named Celestial Dragons)
The Earth Dragons
The Water Dragons
The Fire Dragons
The Arial Dragons
The Light Dragons
The Shadow Dragons
The Metal Dragons
The Crystal Dragons
The Storm Dragons
The Phantom Dragons
Amongst others. But those are the ones are to be weary of and they are not to be underestimated under any cost. But one bloodline is told had been extinct for who knows how long, one to rival the power and might of The Celestial Dragons. The Etherial (Guardian) Dragons. Their devastating power and strategic minds are something that is both to be revered and terrifying to be on the other end of. But there's one thing that angers the professors at every branch of the college. It's how to get the blood of the Etherial Dragon, without the person that has gotten said blood turn into sludge or something along those lines. And no one knows how to get that kind of power. As it literally rivals that of Royalty of all Dragon Kind. Every Hybrid prays that they would get even a small trace of Etherial in them and also pray that it wouldn't kill them in the process.
Everyone is pissed about the Etherial Blood dilemma. Well.
Almost everyone.
There's one Hybrid that doesn't give a damn about The Etherial Dragon's power. Hell when talking to her about it she openly said, "why the hell do you want that? You're powerful and unique in your own right. Why the hell do you want to change what makes you you?" when asked to elaborate she told them quite bluntly that taking Etherial Blood when you already have powerful abilities due to their not just their genetics but their upbringing and how they came so far only to take a short cut with a dangerous gamble that could possibly kill them if not compatible. Grow and evolve on your own and at your own pace, if you still think you need to play the highest kind of Russian roulette known. Go ahead and play. She certainly isn't going to stop you. It leaves everyone that has this conversation with her were left speechless if not straight up gobsmacked. She had a look in her eyes that screams that she has seen first hand what that kind of power does to people. She actively avoids having Blood Upgrades to make herself all the more powerful and to have more variety in her abilities. She always states that she's fine the way she is and she proves it when placed in training against any of her peers, upperclassmen or against any of the training programs involving the dragon threat.
She had earned the right to get a customized home away from the college because she almost always refuses to sleep in the dorms as she has very bad nightmares that have varying results depending on the nightmare. So she almost doesn't sleep when she goes (is forced) back to her dorm room. She could be found reading underneath her bed that isn't touched. When her roommates were to go in, they see that her side of the dorm (which they insisted that she were to have) is completely bare and any or all prizes she has is in it's shrink wrap and placed in her dimension chest that the head of defense department allowed her to make and to keep. She was on top if not almost scarily aware, of all of her chores and had them done with spotlessness and cleanliness that any or all clean freaks actually become scared. She would clean her clothes that the richest of the student body couldn't compare. When going through her closet, her clothes that are hanging up are vibrant if not more vibrant than when they were acquired. That includes her shoes, socks and undergarments. Some of the more brave students would ask to share her secrets and she produced a vial from within her jacket pocket, "this is the most potent cleaner I have. Use it sparingly and you'll do fine. Use it excessively and there're hell to pay." she explained and demonstrated it when she was asked to by some of the other more clothing inclined students.
It's always a lot of work fighting the threat and trying to earn a living outside of said threat. A lot of hybrids manage to make their own careers, be it helping out with the college (every student that helps out the college in any shape way or form gets paid really handsomely) or starting up something of their own.
This Hybrid. Is strange. Even amongst other Hybrids. She keeps her cards really close to her chest. Refusing to share her past with any of her classmates or any of her peers. Even those that claim to be the closest to her only know incredibly little about her and they even say it's like pulling teeth as she tells them. The only one that didn't make opening up painful was Lumin. Who by far has the most information. She doesn't share information unless it's important and even then if it's not a good situation or circumstance, good luck getting it from her. She does go on missions on her own and always come back completely intact and without any injuries and when with a team, she is a pivotal part when in a fight or making plans with. She makes even the weakest member of the team, one of the deadliest as she is incredibly adaptable to any fight style that her teammates has. Have a ranged or long distance fighting style? Teamed up with her? Whelp, rock meet hard place for your enemies. It's well known that she's close range if not a melee fighter. Anyone with long range or just range in general, you two will be racking up kills left and right and just sweep through the waves of minions that stand between you two. Close range? No problem. She quickly changes tactics and you two will be fighting in sync like a well oiled machine. There's literally nothing she isn't adaptable to. About to go unstable and possibly kill everyone because of a Blood Upgrade that hasn't fully synced? She'll knock you unconscious and throw you into the nearest ditch so that your genetics settle and guard you from any or all threats that come near you. She will wait and fight for you until your new abilities manifest.
The headmaster and all of the other students are amazed by a hybrid especially during her first years. No one was so adaptable nor so compatible with any or all situation or who she's fighting with. She wins competitions that the college hosts because of this.
She's the best to have in group missions or solo missions. But what really surprises everyone is that she refuses the Blood Upgrades, every chance she got. She trains herself and all of her abilities are unique only to her. She developed her own abilities that are not in any of the bloodline that she has. Another thing that makes her strange.
No one knows what kind of Dragon Blood she hails from. She knows (as all Hybrids) but it's up to her if she wants to share. Especially involving blood work. Her blood will be a complete enigma until they have her willingly reveal what dragon lineage she hails. Which again kinda hard to do when she keeps to herself and getting anything from her is like pulling out teeth.
How is this possible?
Simple.
It's me.
My name is Crystallia Depths. I am The Last of The Etherial Dragon bloodline. I have Etherial Dragon blood running through my veins. I am the only living hybrid with Etherial Blood flowing through my veins.
