Francis Pesper, a good and kind student. He's outstanding in his studies, never fails to amaze his schoolmates and teachers. Other says he's attractive and overall a person with his priorities straight.
But there is one thing everyone in Kingston High knows..
He's a 'snobby rich kid', a very self-centered guy. Everyone in his class would either ignore him, or make fun of him despite of his background. Everyone knows he never tells or shows anything to his parents apart from his report card, medals and certificate.
As he goes home from an exhausting first day at school, his mind replays the words and phrases that surrounded him during class.
'Hey, Francis the snob, do you think we'll Pesper you with our idiocy haha'
'Can't believe you're sitting next to nobody this year!'
'Ugh, why's he in our class?'
'Did he just had lunch in the classroom? Oh my god, so anti-social'
'Did you see his ride? Damn, I'd seduce him if he wasn't so snobby'
The comments played in his mind over and over again until his mother called for dinner.
The next morning that he dreaded all night came. He stepped into the premises and immediately, everyone's eyes were on him. As if he was a celebrity entering the red carpet, he was showered with stares from left to right.
Their voices echoed through his ears as each whisper became louder. He seemed as though he didn't care, but that was because he was tired of explaining himself.
During classes, no one dared to speak with him unless it they were assigned in a group project. The teachers didn't mind the quiet Francis, as they were thankful that he isn't one of those goofballs who likes disrupting lectures.
Most teachers were thankful for a kid like him to be in their class. They'd show off his high markings and boast to their co-workers and say, 'he's in my class. I was the one who taught him everything.'
Students would notice the favouritism of their teachers, of course. If they see that others were treated differently, they'd do the same.. in a negative way.
Francis didn't mind all this as he was used to it. Every year, the same treatment. No real harm was done anyway, just his social skills were lacking.
One day, he heard a squealing girl through the hallway. She was shouting to her group of friends about a certain post on social media. Francis heard the app and decided to download it.
He played around with his account, followed artists and celebrities he admired. After finding out that there were multiple platforms that he could follow more, he downloaded three more apps.
He was content with being updated from his favourite writers and artists, he never even thought of someone following one of his account.
After a few months, he opened his phone to see 1 follower on his twitter. The user's name was 'Harl Fierce' and to his surprise, he gained one new follower from each of his social media accounts! And one friend request.
They were all named 'Harl Fierce'
He followed the accounts back and accepted the friend request.
