Martha Palacios a young woman who is twenty three years old is once more late for her work, her long black hair gets on her face while she is running, she is so skinny that anyone could say that she might break if the air touches her. her skin is so white that anyone would think that she is sick.

after running for a while Martha is finally in her work place a Mexican Restaurant by the name "El Resucitado: bar and grill" at the moment in which she enters in the restaurant she looks at her boss Donovan Robinson a man whom is most of the time angry and a man who is always yielding at his employees. Mr. Robinson is a Chicano and even when he denies his Latino roots his physical appearance is a reminder of his Latino ancestors. he has a huge mustache. he is short and fat. he has short brown hair.

Mr. Robinson yields at the dishwasher Alexander McNamara, he is twenty two years old. he has been working to pay for his college. he is 5'6 barely taller than her. he looks at her with those almond-honey eyes of his and she smiles while looking at the mole under his left eye. he has bushy dark eyebrows, he always has this gaze of someone either angry or sad. he is kind of chubby with a friendly smile. Martha notice his t-shirt that has some white words "I R.I.P. my heart but I am still here" she knows that he has a crush on her and she likes how he blushes every time that she smiles at him. 

Martha keeps walking and she sees the cooks. the one in the left is Augusto Medina he is 6'2 with some huge muscles, he has some scars on his face and they say that he was on jail for murder once. he always keeps his hair short, he doesn't know the meaning of smiling and he wants to take Martha to his bed. he is wearing some jeans and a t-shirt from the restaurant with the name on the left of his chest. 

the one in the middle is Yugo Miyamoto a Japanese whom loves making food more than eating it. he studied in many countries before arriving at this one and he has a wide knowledge of different dishes. he is twenty-four years old. he is 5'4 skinny with tiny muscles also he recently painted his hair green, he is kind of cute.

the one in the right is Rigoberto Fuentes a forty five years old man who is always angry for any reason. he has some wrinkles on his face and some white and gray hair that he hides with his cap. he is also wearing an uniform of the restaurant. the three of them had feelings for her but what they don't know is that she knows and that she likes it to be adore by them.

Martha gets out of the kitchen and she starts to clean some tables while she looks at Richard Johnson a twenty-one years old guy who works as a part-timer in there when he is not on college taking classes. he is skinny with a genuine smile. he is 5'6 with short blonde hair and some dorky glasses. he has two moles on his cheeks. his eyes are emerald green. he notice that she is looking at him and with a gentle smile he says hi to her. 

Martha looks at three of the waiters that work on the morning. one of them is Roger Robinson the only brother of Donovan. a man of forty-three years old, a man who has never done anything with his life and out of pity his brother offered him a job, to work for him.

the other two man are Robert Smith a thirty-seven years old man and Jake Park a twenty-three years old man. Jake's father left Korea in search of the American dream and he didn't just found the dream but he also found the mother of Jake. even when he comes from a humble family he is happy.

there are more people working on this restaurant but this are the main suspects of the murder to come. one of them is going to be the one to kill her but at that time neither she nor none of them knew of the future awaiting for them. no one was expecting a future in which a murder would unleash a chain of events that would condemn them all.

Martha works till there are no more clients and her boss Donovan walks towards her and he tells her that she can't come late at her job whenever she wishes to be late, she has an hour to work and she must come on time. he was furious and after a few seconds he leaves. Martha looks at his golden necklace and his golden watch. 

the day is long and finally at night Martha gets ready to leave while she awaits for her cousin whom takes her to her house because she doesn't know how to drive and he cares for her and in worry for her all the time. his name is Raul Palacios and he is twenty-seven years old also he knows most of the guys and he has been friends with them for a long time. Raul arrives on time and he takes her home.

"she didn't know at the time that her fate was to die in two weeks, how could she know if she was just staring her life, she was just staring to live the way she wanted to, how could she know that the world was cruel enough to make fun of her to spit her out of this world."

said the narrator.

"the next day Martha arrived on time on her job. everyone was nice towards her and they all smiled at her like a wolf smiles to the lamb the wolf wants to devour by himself, of course the wolves wanted to have that lamb because she was a gorgeous young lady with a bright smile and a soft voice like an angel. what man wouldn't want to have her."

said the Narrator.

Richard might be the most innocent of them all and he might be the cutest with his adorable crush on her, he blushes easily. not just that but he also tries to talk to her but he just doesn't have the guts to do it so he always starts with small talk and then he stops.

Augusto tries to talk to her but she doesn't care and she ignores him mostly. at three p.m. the first time ends and she goes to the kitchen for her food. in the kitchen she looks at the cooks making their food and also the dishwasher is preparing his food and he looks at her with a smile, Alexander walks away. Martha asked them to give her something vegetarian and after waiting for a couple of minutes she thanks them with a smile and Augusto stares at her with a creepy smile and desire in his eyes. Martha sits in a table. she sighs while she hears some footsteps and she looks at her right to see Alexander at her side.

"hello, sorry I don't mean to bother you nor interrupt you, but I want to say that you look really pretty, specially today...... did you paint your nails? I like the color, it is nice."

said Alexander with a smile looking at the table.

"thanks. yes, I choose this creamy pink but I didn't believe that anyone would notice. it is cute isn't it."

said Martha with a soft smile.

yes, mmmm...... I don't want to sound like mmmm...... I don't want to bother you but can I sit next to you today? the thing is that I want to talk with you, but the thing is that I don't want to bother you. I know that I can be annoying sometimes but I really like when I talk with you."

Alexander is blushing and looking away. he looks at her and she nods with a soft smile. he smiles blushing even more. he sits with her and they start eating.

"the sky is beautiful isn't it. is so blue and bright especially today but if I am honest a gray sky is even prettier. sorry sometimes I talk a lot and sometimes I don't talk at all.....if you allow me to say this.... you are not just beautiful but you are also a nice person."

said Alexander looking at his hands.

"thanks you are so nice."

said Martha with a honest smile.

they keep talking while they eat. he looks away at the window. Alexander is eating fried mojarra and he smiles while looking at her. he finish his food and he leaves with the plate on his hand. Martha turns around to see Augusto behind her looking at her like a dog looks at a bone and he smiles while holding a beer. he walks slowly towards her and he sits at her side. 

"did that loser really thought he had an opportunity with you? I know a woman like you won't last long before getting bored with a loser like him but with me you would enjoy every minute while I kiss you from your neck till your private parts and help you to experience sensations you had never felt before. now tell me honey how was your day?"

said Augusto while looking at her with a creepy smile and with his left hand he is touching her hair. Martha pushes him away while she stands up before leaving. Augusto goes back to the kitchen were Rigoberto was awaiting for him and he laughs out loud. 

"do you really think that girl would accept you like that?"

said Rigoberto while he drinks some soda.

"oh, fuck off man. you don't know what a girl like that needs. I real man that can give her joy and pleasure on bed. she is one of those girls whom pretend to be goody good but once with a real man they show their true self. she has the face of a lusty girl who wants nothing more than having fun."

said Augusto while smirking.

"do you really have to pretend to be the Alpha Macho? man one of these years you would pay dearly for your tongue and your behavior. come on is almost time to work again."

said Rigoberto looking at the clock.

"you fucking loser, that is why you don't get any pussy. just look at yourself, how old are you? and jet you haven't had any pussy in years."

said Augusto disappointed.

"you are really going to be sorry for everything you have done so far. just wait and one of these day karma would bite your head off."

said Rigoberto feeling so much anger towards his co-worker and friend.

they pretend that they didn't say anything and they start to prepare everything. Alexander enters in the kitchen and says hi to them. but he is ignore and he notice the awkward silence.

for the rest of the day everyone keeps with their normal routine and today especially aren't that many clients and everyone is working without feeling much stress and everyone is waiting for the day to end. after a few hours it gets darker. Richard and Yugo get in the kitchen to get their dinner and they eat inside of the kitchen avoiding been seen by the clients. Martha gets inside of the kitchen and she sees them eating.

"don't look at us like that. we were hungry and also there is only one client outside so we decided to get our dinner ready. now tell me what do you want to eat."

said Yugo with a smile.

"well thanks for the food dude."

said Richard with his mouth full of food.

"don't you want a drink? you are no longer a kid Richard so you better say yes to my talent of preparing delicious drinks like the one I am drinking."

said Yugo while drinking a sex on the beach.

"no, thanks man. I wish but I don't like to get home drunk. my parents don't like that either and I want my old man to be proud of me. after all he has sacrifice for me I don't want to be ungrateful."

said Richard with a fake smile and nervous.

"come on man I am just three years older than you but you behave like a child also you talk like an old man. please be a normal dude. you have to behave like a rebellious bastard or an ungrateful punk, that is the point of being young and stupid to do stupid things and blame our youth."

said Yugo with a smirk while he drinks his beverage. 

"well he is right you don't have to pretend to be a good boy. you just need to be your own self and it doesn't matter if you are a prick if you are being you and not what others want you to be. after all no one nor nothing matters more than your own self."

said Martha with an innocent smile.

"thanks. you are always so nice and cute. you are always so nice towards everyone even pricks like Yugo."

said Richard with sincerity.

"just don't ask her to marry you because it would be so awkward and so out of place. so keep that proposal for another time, once she accepts to be your girlfriend first, I mean if she ever accepts."

said Yugo on purpose trying to anger Richard.

"you know what? you are a true asshole sometimes dude. really how can you speak like that in front of her knowing so well that I love her...... wait I mean that I like her as a friend."

said Richard whom was too angry to remember that Martha was standing right in front of him. he looks at her and he blushes, then he leaves angry. Martha laughs.

"why do you have to be so ruthless? why the need to humiliate him in front of me?"

said Martha with a smirk trying to see if Yugo likes her as much as everyone else or is he just being an asshole for fun.

"did I say something? I don't remember well, I need to start cleaning if I want to leave early."

said Yugo laughing while he walks out of the kitchen. Martha also goes out of the kitchen and she sees the whole restaurant almost empty there are only four clients eating. she walks towards Roger.

"hello there little rabbit, it seems like we are alone. if you want I can take you home, just give me the address and I would take you there if you don't have anyone else to take you home. you seem to be a bit of a distracted little rabbit."

said Roger with a creepy smile.

"sorry but no, thank you. is not because you are creepy, not at all. is just that my cousin would came for me but thanks you don't have to be a gentleman. thanks once more Mr. Robinson, now if you excuse me I had a job to do."

said Martha with a fake smile so obvious that Roger felt anger.

"you seem to be avoiding me, why? had I done anything wrong? or against you?"

asked Roger while holding her arm.

"is there any fucking problem in here?"

asked Yugo while he walks behind Roger.

"look yellow boy. I was just having a friendly talk with the lady."

said Roger trying to show his hatred towards Yugo.

"I hope it wasn't as friendly as the one we are having right now."

said Yugo with a not so friendly smile.

"I don't have time to deal with this shit."

said Roger while he leaves angry and cursing quietly. 

"sorry he is an asshole the only reason he is working with us isn't because he is worth a penny but because his brother feels pity for him."

said Yugo with a smile.

"yes, but I think the boss should do something about him."

said Martha feeling anger for the whole situation.

after some time she sits while she waits for her cousin to arrive. she takes her phone out and she looks at pictures of her with her boyfriend and after a while her cousin finally enters in the restaurant and he calls her. Martha stands up and she follows him to his BMW and in the road they talk for a moment.

"cousin, you know that I trust you but I don't trust in that pack of wolves looking at you like if they were on a butcher shop."

said Raul worry for his cousin.

"Martha kept talking with her cousin and the truth is that he knew that she was like a deer in haunting season and they were like hungry animals but how could she believe that she was about to be killed."

said the Narrator.

"are you even going back to college?"

asked Raul worry but after that question they stopped talking for a few minutes.

"so when I am going to meet your girlfriend I heard from your bro that she is super cute."

said Martha with a huge smile.

"but she isn't as cute as my little annoying cousin. but she is indeed the most wonderful person I had ever met and the woman that I love. she is the one for me and with who I want to build a future."

said Raul with a smile.
