After walking for what seemed forever he finally comes to the village. Lots of people filled the market, children ran past him laughing. The village had a beautiful atmosphere around it, tan houses with wooden beams lined the roads, market stalls full of various items. Shop owners smiling and welcoming their customers, Haru felt amazed at all the wonderful things he was passing. "Excuse me Ms? Would you happen to know where I could find some directions? I think I'm lost" Haru asked a young lady dressed in a simple white dress. She smiled softly and brushed her blonde hair out of her eyes, "which city are you from? We don't get many new folks around here" she smiled sweetly as her bright green eyes shined. "I'm from Kaimon city, but I'm not to sure how I got here" the lady gave him a puzzled expression as she tilted her head. "I've never heard of such a place.. perhaps you should ask Mr. Kazuka, he's a great man and has traveled the kingdoms many times. If anyone can help you, he can!" She smiles brightly as she pointed in the direction of the river "He lives over there, it's the only house on the river. He's a nice old man and lives there with a young boy around your age I believe". "Thanks, I really appreciate this!" Haru smiles as he waves goodbye to the young lady. He starts heading towards the small house as he notices a red thread hanging from his wrist. "What is this?.." his voice trails off as he tries to tug it off, the red thread shining as his attempts fail. *Maybe I can cut it off?* he knocks on the wooden door as he stands on a stone step outside the house. "One second!" A Old man's voice yells as muttering can be heard from behind the door. It opens to reveal an old man wearing a grey cloak and dusty brown boots, his clothes looked old and out dated. Haru looked at the old man with shock as his eyes widen "um... I'm Haru and you see.. I was told to ask you for directions since I'm not sure where I am. I just kind of woke up just outside of the this village and I've never seen anything like it before-!" The old man grabs Haru's arm and quickly pulls him inside the house as he closes the door. "Yukio! Yukio come here! Bring the toadstool!" The old man yells as Haru is urged to sit down on a small chair. "Now my young boy, please make yourself comfortable" Haru looks at the old man in shock as he looks around the house "uhhh sir I'm sorry but if you could just give me some directions, I'll be on my way..." Haru started to nervously brush his peach colored hair out of his face as his blue eyes looked up at the man shyly. "Master Kazuka I brought the toadstool.. why did you-... who's that?" Haru looks over to see a tall teenage boy with silver hair and purple eyes looking towards him. He was wearing a uniform with no tie. His dress shirt was messy and unbuttoned, his hair was brushed to the side bit. Haru could see two lip piercings as well as an eyebrow piercing on his face. The boy was so pale he looked like snow, his eyes were a light violet color and seemed like they sparkled. "Ah! Yukio this is Haru Harada, he's from the other world!" Haru quickly looks at Mr. Kazuka "how did you know my name? And what do you mean other world? Where am I!" Haru started to panic as he slowly realized that he really wasn't where he belonged anymore. "Young lad, this is the world of Yamaru. You're currently in the kingdom of Ki'fir and the village of Calairy. You were summoned here by my apprentice Yukio, however we thought it hadn't worked since you didn't appear". Mr. Kazuka explained as he smiled softly towards Haru, "we're terribly sorry to have brought you here, however Yukio needs someone from another world to help his magic grow to his true potential. Without you I'm afraid my young Yukio will fall to a fatal illness that cannot be treated.." Mr. Kazuka's voice trails off as he looks sadly towards Yukio who was know sitting on another small chair, his gaze looked cold and clouded as the old man spoke. Haru couldn't help feel that Yukio was annoyed with him. "How am I suppose to help Yukio when I don't know anything about this world? I'm a simple human being, I don't know anything about magic except what I've seen on anime and in manga! I'm sorry but I really don't understand how to help you guys out" Haru felt nervous and was confused by everything being told to him. "The red thread of fate appeared, it's what had bound Yukio to you. If you leave now, we don't know what will happen to either of you". Mr. Kazuka smiles softly and brushes his grey hair out of his eyes as he looks from Haru to Yukio. "The red thread of fate?.. you mean this thing? It won't come off no matter how much I try to pull it" Yukio looks at Haru with a small look of hurt that makes Haru feel guilty. "It's called the red thread of fate because it only shows up if something from your destiny is linked to something else of extreme importance. It's a rare occurrence that isn't heard of much and there's hardly anything about it other then stories of the fates and goddesses.. So I summoned you here so that I could try to understand why I've been entwined with someone from another world". Yukio said in a low cold tone as he looked at Haru with a saddened stare. "I have an illness that isn't curable, everytime it acts up it tends to get worse and the only clue we have for me to get better is you. I'm sorry that you got brought here and have been tangled up in my horrid mess.." Yukio's voice trails off as he looks down towards the stone floor. "Haru we would like you to stay with us until the red thread of fate disappears, once it's gone Yukio should be healthy and his magic should have grown to its full potential. He will be a great mage one day and he will be blessed by the king of Ki'fir as the new crown mage". Haru couldn't help but look surprised as he turned to face Yukio, he couldn't imagine having that much pressure on him. "So Yukio is royalty of sorts?" "He will be the crowned mage which is the most powerful mage in the entire kingdom. He will be in charge of over seeing magic in the kingdom and reporting back to the king. He will be a very important person to Ki'fir". "I see... well I guess I can try my best to help but I really don't know what I'll be able to do for him.." Haru looked down in worry as he thought about what could happen if he were to fail. The thoughts felt crushing as if he couldn't breathe. "Haru should rest for now.. I'll bring him to the spare room and we can explain more in the morning" Yukio stood up as he waited for Haru to follow him towards the stairs. "Yes I agree, rest well tonight young lad" Mr. Kazuka smiled softly as he watched the two boys head upstairs. 

"This will be your room. You can do whatever you wish with it.. in the morning I will explain more about this world to you and we will have to buy some supplies. So please rest well" Yukio looks away shyly with his cold facial expressions. "Thank you.. I'll try my best to get some sleep, although being in a whole new world is definitely a new one for me" Haru slightly chuckles nervously before heading into the bedroom. "Goodnight Yukio" Haru smiles softly at him, "Night.." Yukio looks away from him as he softly blushes before heading into the room across from Haru's, he closes the door as Haru closes his. Yukio sits on the edge of his bed and looks out his window blushing slightly before turning off the small oil lamp.
