Brynn is a student in a school for the magically inclined, except, he wasn't necessarily meant to be one. For decades since the school's establishment, only those with power and/or pedigree were allowed enrollment. And he had neither.

Now, stumbling along classes, shunned by his colleagues, he's all but accepted the isolation. That is, until an accident occurred in the labs, leaving his then lab partner, Prince Val Stirling III, star-struck(or rather, love-struck) at the sight of him. As he's assigned the duty of keeping watch of Val in exchange for not being outright expelled, he starts to uncover some truths about the academy, the prince, and himself.

With conspiracies afoot and the hijinks of a magically smitten prince, Brynn's life is taking a turn from the norm. And as feelings begin to sprout, he's more conflicted than ever.

Will Brynn be able to navigate his school life, and, heck, his own feelings? Or will he lose everything he's built up? And more importantly, will he be able to last a whole semester?
