Curiosity is a big part of us, it's our main drive to learn more stuff, to experience new things. That's why as much as possible we try to make a logical explanation for everything, and this also became the reason as to why some things are classified as mythical because some things cannot be explained. Then there's the credulous, gullible people who easily believe in non-existing things like magic.
Then there's me, I don't know what to believe in. There's always this lingering feeling that what we know and see is not as simple as we thought it to be. The world is wider than we thought and we have no idea even though it's right in front of our eyes. Of course I keep this beliefs to myself, I don't want to look like that weird kid who kept on pushing their weird beliefs to other people.
This weird theory of mine is not my main problem though. Right now I'm here in front of my parents talking about high school. I just finished middle school and is moving on to high school, but my family is not that well-off. That's why my parents are discussing whether I should continue school or not. "Mom, I'll handle everything okay? Just worry about other things and cross me from your problems." as I told my mother this she look at me like I suddenly grew several heads. "Not worry about you?! You're still young how would you provide for your sake? Your father and I are worried for your sake because you're our child, our one and only child. How could tell us to not worry about you?" dad try to calm down my mom. I get where she's coming from, but she already has to much on her plate I don't want to add to that.
"I know, but I can survive by myself. My grades are decent enough to get a scholarship. For the other expenses like food, water, rent I can already get a part-time job or start an online business, so there's the income problem solve. Just give my plan a chance please. I know you already have a lot on your plates and I want to lessen it for a bit." mom thought about for a few minutes before excusing herself and dad so they can talk privately.
Hence the reason why I'm walking around right now, my parents decided to give it a shot after a week of planning. Now here I am walking around the town inquiring school after school for their scholarship. I already took an entrance exam at some schools, but you can never be too sure. As I walking I stumbled upon this mysterious school. It wasn't old or creepy just plain mysterious. You can't really see what's going on inside the campus for there are walls and trees blocking the outsiders view. From what I remember I've never seen this school before so it must be pretty new. Aside from that I don't know anyone who went or even applied for this school.
While I was looking at the exterior of the university a girl saw me. I don't know why but for some odd reason she look shock at first then looked at me like she knew me for I long time. Being a very awkward person with strangers I just stood there like an idiot waiting for her to say something. After a few seconds of her staring, not in a creepy way, and me avoiding her gaze, she finally said something. "Sorry for that, you just reminded me of someone I know. Anyways since you're here for quite some time now I'm guessing that you're looking for a school? You've come to the right place then. Come, let's go inside so that you can get to know this school better." she didn't even let me respond, she just gently shove me inside the campus. The interior more detailed compare to the it's exterior that was super bland. The girl showed me around explaining what goes on inside the campus and whatnot.
When I ask her about their scholarship her eyes suddenly shine brighter and she got even more cheerful. "Oh about that? Well our scholarship is base on your quarterly grade per subject. You must a ninety or above for every subject that you have at your old school. Well aside from that you must also get a grade of at least seventy percent to be able to qualify." she said in one breath. I suddenly got intrigue, there's this urge inside me to go to this school. I really know what my drive is. Maybe it's because of the school standards? Maybe my brain saw it as a challenge that needed to be won, and so even without thinking about the whole ordeal I ask to take the entrance exam. I thought she's gonna have a negative reaction, but she seem rather happy about it.
"When can I take the exam then?" I ask ready to scrape off everything on my schedule on the day of my entrance exam. "I mean you can take it at anytime you want or when you're ready. If you want you can even take it now." I was surprise by that. She threw the information that I can take an entrance exam right now if I wanted to so casually. They must have really intelligent students to be able to say that so casually. While I was thinking when will the best time be for an exam she suddenly spoke. "I just remember that we don't know each others name, I'm sorry for that. My name is Rena Velradi and I'm one of the admins of this school." I honestly didn't notice that we don't know each other's names until she pointed it out. "I also didn't notice that, I'm Kashi Kuroirabu please to meet you."
We settle the schedules and disclosed some more information before I left the school. When I got back home it was almost dark and my parents are already asleep. They must've been really tired from work since they didn't went home yesterday to get some extra cash for staying later. After checking up on them I went to my room and reviewed for some time before going to sleep.
