Thomas shifted bothered on the library's cubicle where he used to study. Although, this time, he held his computer close to him, with a captivating picture showing on through the video call.

The green light confirmed his camera was on, and he typed: "Take off your clothes." The image of Laurence on the other side followed the order.

Laurence was kneeling on his bed, the computer by his nightstand, close enough to be able to read the chatbox but also far enough to show his body.

Holding a shy smile, the man unbuttoned his shirt as slow as he could, and once he reached the end, traced his fingers upwards provocatively to slide the shirt off his shoulders in a smooth gesture.

With the image, Thomas felt shivers running through his lower belly and groin, making him feel more uncomfortable by being in a public place. As his boyfriend was occupied with his fly, Thomas couldn't help but look around to confirm there wasn't anyone else in the cubicles nor cameras recording.

"You are not looking at me!" Thomas's worries were interrupted by the blonde's voice coming from his headphones. "Are you sure you want to continue this on the library?" His boyfriend continued, this time showing some concern in his tone and grabbing the edge of the pillow to cover again.

"Yes!" He said out loud before remembering he was on mute to stop himself from talking. He peeked to check if Laurence caught him, and his light laughter confirmed it. Thomas had to mentally kick himself before typing again. "I'm okay. You look extremely sexy." He felt blush covered his cheeks as he hit send, rushing to continue with another line.

"Hey, Thomas! What are you doing here?" The boy slammed his computed shut and cranked his neck guiltily, surprise drawn all over his face.

As he saw Carly calling him, he composed and lowered his shoulders, which at some point lifted with tension. They didn't live in a huge city. So, the town's library was pretty common as a meeting point for students. He often met there with his friends, not only to study but to take advantage of the free wi-fi, coffee machine, and air conditioner. The student's dorm could be a stressful place to stay for a long period of time, especially if you had to share it with other people. It wasn't his case, and he just hated to feel alone.

As small towns tend to be, Krughy's fell into the category of close-minded ones, even with all the young people around. The LGBT+ community consisted of a close group where they all knew each other, and most of them were still in the closet. In his case, he was pretty open with his sexuality, and all his friends understood he was into boys, but his family was ruled out of this confession. Carly was the first one he came out to, and years later, she told him she was bisexual.

"What.... were you doing?" The girl examined Thomas's expression with a suspicious look, catching the clues: Blushed face, awkward position, moving uncomfortable, and shaking a leg. "Finals?"

"Finals!" Thomas confirmed and raised his voice by error, again, retreating with a regretful expression where he scrunched his nose but tried to hide it by adjusting his glasses. "Ah-... Carly, are you here to study too? You should have texted me." It would be best if you had warned me so I could choose another location for our public ruckus-

"Oh, right! " Carly turned a little, giving Thomas a chance to adjust and hide his boner. When she turned again, she had a bright smile, and someone grabbing her hand. "Do you know Samuel?"

Behind her stood a guy with brown hair styled by a short undercut. He was wearing black pants, a black shirt, and a military green bomber jacket. Thomas noticed he also wore two silver rings and a string bracelet with the same colors as the bisexual flag. Coincidence? Samuel rested his other hand on Carly's hip and showed him a genuine smile that reached his light brown eyes. Attractive was Thomas's first thought.

"Hi, dude." Even his voice had a husky side to it, making it more appealing to the overall image. Samuel smoothly dragged his hand along Carly's side to retrieve it and stretch it towards the boy, still sitting on his cubicle chair.

The new guy captured Thomas's attention, but from the corner of his eye, he could see how Carly's smile change from the one she used to show when she liked something. He felt stupid. Maybe because of the surprise from before or because he was now presented to, most definitely, Carly's new boyfriend (or at least his new hookup). He had to compose himself.

With another attempt to maintain his dignity, Thomas stood, fixed his smile to a welcoming one, and took a step forward. "Hi, Samuel. Are you Carly's-...?” He interrupted himself, realizing he had stepped on his shoelace and in a matter of seconds felt his body trying to get to a 90º position. He closed his eyes, waiting for the impact. His arm still stretched for the pending handshake.

I guess the floor is softer than before? He opened his eyes and tried to move but was still enraptured in someone's arms, too muscular to be Carly's. "Are you okay?" The husky voice caressed his ear, making Thomas jerk out of the guy more abruptly than he intended to.

"Yes-... sorry." Thomas pinched the bridge of his nose, holding his embarrassment for a second. "I'm Thomas. Carly said you were Samuel?", although flushed and awkward, he reached his hand to shake the other and got to keep his smile as sincere as before. "I promise I'm not such a mess all the time."

Samuel shook his hand, keeping his smile and looking directly into the green eyes in front of him. "It's okay. I'll try to keep my reflexes ready for when you do." And filled the space with a chuckled. Thomas giggled too. Wait... was he flirting?

"Don't listen to Thomas. He is a mess all the time." Carly crouched and grabbed something from the floor. "Thomas, honey... I'm glad you're okay, but." She looked up. "Your phone's broken." She turned the screen to him, revealing all the cracks and tiny pieces of glass coming off. As she did, it buzzed and lighted up with unusual colors on the corners. "Laurence ❤" was calling. The phone glitched a few times before turning itself off: Dead.

"Fuck, Laurence."  Thomas whispered and remembered how he left his boyfriend hanging, kneeling naked on the bed. Just his luck. How was he going to explain all that happened? He pressed his lips, mentally preparing for the talk with Laurence. "I have to go, sorry guys." He crouched too and kissed Carly on the cheek, then rushed out. "Nice to meet you, Sam!"
