I watched the clock as time passed. Unfortunately, I had gotten detention. Again. It’s not that I’m a bad person or anything! It’s just that…I always wake up late. Heh.
But I don't understand why I have to do work just because I was late. I’m not a morning person! Sorry!
Anyway, I had respectfully and obediently done my work which was not easy mind you! It was like, a hundred math problems and a thousand sentences with a thousand grammatical errors. Sometimes I–strongly dislike school.
The teacher wasn’t even in the room right now; I think he said something about coffee. I could've gone out the window if I wanted to but, I’m just a very obedient boy I guess. After some time, a timer went off. I think that’s the time for detention to be over? I don’t know…but, I really REALLY need to get out of detention. I’m supposed to be meeting someone in what–5 minutes! I have to go! As soon as I started packing up, the teacher walked in.
“Mm, I'm pretty sure the timer went off. You’re free to go,” he spoke, sipping on his cappuccino. I sighed, relieved to know I wasn’t skipping detention.
I quickly made my exit from the school and headed to where I was supposed to be meeting my cousin. He said he wanted to apologize for the things he has done in the past to me which I would love to forgive him for! I'm just happy that he is willing to apologize.
He told me to meet him at an alleyway and he sent me the address. I didn’t know why an alleyway would be the best place to meet, but okay! Whatever floats your boat.
I had my GPS in my hand as I walked down the street. I finally found it! I was glad I wasn’t late. I entered the dark alleyway and was met with my cousin and some other people he was talking to.
“Hi, Dwayne! How have you been?” I asked, smiling big at him. He looked at me and gave me a…not so reassuring look.
