Trystn woke up on the island by a ruined boat. He was in a tunic and a loincloth but had no memory of coming here. He did not think this was strange. He was about 16 summers old, but he stared with childhood wonder at the bountiful flora and fauna. He saw several parrots and even what he thought was an eagle! He made himself welcome to the animals, who as they had never seen humans before, nuzzled up to him affectionately. Apart from the beach and a couple of swamps, he saw nothing except for thick dense jungle. He made several markers as due to the overall similarities of every tree and bush, he worried about finding his way back. Altogether, Trystn spent the majority of the day exploring the island. He ended the day by trying to find a place to sleep. In the end he decided to go back to the ruined ship. As he tried to make himself comfortable on the mossy timbers he thought about what he had seen that day and vowed that the next day he would explore more.
