The scent of the fresh baked cinnamon rolls being topped with sugar is what wakes everyone up as they walk into the Ivory Flour in the morning. Ms. Orith was considered a saint in this town when she opened up the new bakery down the street where Lazuli Snowtwill lived. “Good morning Ms. Orith.” Lazuli said as she walked into the bakery for breakfast. “Morning. Take a seat please. Here, a letter came in the mail for you yesterday.” Ms. Orith placed a cinnamon bun and toast on the table, along with a letter stamped with a purple circle in the right hand corner of the envelope. The back of the envelope said ‘From Reinwork Tower’. The letter sent chills down Lazuli’s spine.
Dear Lazuli, you have been accepted into Reinwork Tower! Congratulations on behalf of the teachers and fellow students of RT!
-Professor Calico
Lazuli froze. “Ms. Orith?” “Yes?” Ms. Orith was concerned. “I got accepted into this… thing. I never applied. I’ve never even heard of this place.” “Wrong address?” “No, it says my name and everything.”
Lazuli looked up the place online. Nothing came up except an address and an enrollment form stating Lazuli’s full name and class info. A meeting with Professor Calico was also set up for her first day at Reinwork Tower.
How odd. I’ve never heard of this place before. Dear Diary, I somehow got accepted into “Reinwork Tower”, a magic school. WHICH I NEVER APPLIED TO?!
I have no idea what’s going on.
“Miss Snowtwill?” an unfamiliar voice called. “Uhm, hello?” she responded. There was an older man, possibly in his 60’s. He had greyish hair, dusty green eyes and he was wearing an odd looking robe. It almost resembled a wizard robe. “Miss Snowtwill, it’s me, Professor Calico. You should come in to Reinwork today. I’ll see you there to complete your registration.” he said.
What the heck is going on? HOW DID HE FIND ME? This guy is creepy as heck.
“Uhm alright! Thanks, Professor.” she hesitated. Did I just agree to this school thing? I’m gonna die here. RIP me. Later today I’ll head to the school and check it out. I’ll end up dead but I’m just TOO curious. ~Lazuli
