Meeting Jack for the first time, you can get a glimpse into the instability of his current life in Hell. Whether he inflicts that on himself by surrounding himself by terrible people, or if he just so happens to find himself attracting said bad people is yet to be understood. All we really know is.. This is the first 5 pages of chapter 0 - AKA the prologue, AKA, "The Breakup."
What happens when an impulsive 18 year old demon from Hell goes through a breakup after a night at the club? He summons a portal to escape it all, of course! And also happens to inadvertently drag his siblings along with him. All ending up on Earth, they have to find their footing in unfamiliar territory. Meet Jack, Diamond and Ace, three demon siblings who were forged and raised in Hell. Modern Earthly experiences have always been a pipedream for the trio, with Hell getting the long lost hand-me-downs of decades before, if that. Jack has always sought out new experiences, either through dating or partying. After having a terrible experience doing both one night, his life would change forever. So would his brother and Sister's. Diamond, the middle child, prides herself in her focus and spellcasting abilities. As would Ace's, who while being the oldest, gave up a long time ago on just about everything, and would rather sleep if Jack's shenanigans would allow such a thing.
On Earth, the demon siblings are fortunately met with another set of siblings. These are Canny, Prudence and Frugal. This three were adopted into an unconventional life, but act as great guides for their new demonic companions, showing them the ropes of Earthly life. Interestingly enough, these siblings are also supernatural beings who are able to understand and protect the demons from the hateful world around them. For now. Until then, the demons from Hell get to see what Earth is all about in all its glory, in none other than Salem, Massachusetts. The good, the bad, the ugly and the insane. Jack will do his very best to try ALL that Earth has to offer, while learning new skills and meeting all sorts of people. Will he master anything? Will his siblings stop blaming him for everything? Will they be caught and dragged back down to the depths from whence they came? Find out in Jack of all Trades: Out of the Box!
