My mom was raped every day by her husband. She was beat whenever she said no. She went to her counselor and told her that she felt so angry and so hurt that she fantasized about killing her husband.
She was so scared of herself. She asked her counselor if she should be put in a mental hospital.
Her counselor said that this wasn’t the first time she heard this.
Many, many people came to her and said they felt like killing someone. Especially if that person was hurting them.
She said that those desires don’t come from a place of malicious intent. That those thoughts don’t make a person a murderer or a monster.
Instead those feelings come from desperation. They just want the hurt to stop, and don’t see any other way except to kill their abuser.
The more I learn about life, the more I see that bad thoughts make sense. Bad thoughts are okay
