Life On Neoma

 Never before had I seen so many stars at night. I didn't think my uncle would bring me to this part of the planet. I was in such surprise that I was missing out on the true experience of the night here on Neoma. Back on my home planet, you couldn’t see the stars. You couldn’t appreciate the night. You couldn't appreciate life either. 

Planet Terra-21 never felt like a home to me. Life over there is dull and too rushed. Everything is in a hurry. Many people believe time is short and that you can’t enjoy anything. But I believe you can have time and admire the great wonders that life can offer. Neoma has taught me this. I don't know what I would do if this wonderful planet didn't exist. I guess I would have died. 

You see Terra-21 is not a safe place anymore. There is a war happening over there. Gladly my Uncle Lucian was already living on Neoma so I had a new place to stay. But my parents couldn't come along in the capsule. There was only enough space for one person, which was me. Each civilian is offered a capsule to leave the planet in the midst of the emergency. The only time they are going to be able to escape Terra-21 is when the next capsules are available.

I hope they are doing fine. It has been six months since I last saw them. Every day I think of them and wish to tell them already about the amazing life I have experienced so far here on Neoma. But in the meantime, I will keep looking at the stars and remind myself that everything will be alright.
