I painted this comic in 2020 as part of my senior capstone project for college. The plan was to publish an anthology of seven short comics, but that is still a work in progress. In the meantime, I wanted to share this story on its own.
If you've been following my Sorcerers and Shadow series, you'll recognize this as a story about Morgan's childhood, but you can also read this comic as a stand-alone story without knowing any of the other lore.
*I have censored the cover painting here so that this intro episode would fit Tapas' all-ages guidelines. In the original the tree nymph had n!pples. I will mark the rest of the comic as "Mature" even though I consider the art and story appropriate for ages 12 and up.
A young witch meets a stranger on the path to her grandmother's house in this comic told through oil paintings.
Content Warning:
This tale is about girlhood, betrayed trust, and sexual assault. There is rape in this story, but it is not described in detail or shown. The pictures and text are safe for readers of all ages. Recommended for ages 12 and up.
