All characters are fictional, although sometimes they are inspired, in some aspects, by people who are part of my life. The places mentioned are real, but the house of the character Grandpa Michael is the only place that does not exist in real life.
No one would choose the more difficult path. It was the most difficult path that David had to take. It is so convenient and spontaneous to say that there is no more love these days, no longer a deep look at each other, and an equal love.
What makes us human is Love, and many other things, of course, but for David Santos Nunes, the narrator of this novel, in Santarém Portugal, that is the most important thing.
After falling in love with John Reis Oliveira, a pharmaceutical Christian believer, David feels depressed and scared inside due to his insecurity about telling his family about his intense love with John.
Not everything will work out, but both will demonstrate what it means to love someone.
