"How do you like it?" The hair stylist said.
"Well, to be honest-" Darcie Cooper was cut off by her mother.
"It looks great! Thank you!" Darcie's mom took her by the hand and walked to the front desk to check out.
"That will be $19.72 ma'am." The cashier lady said. Darcie peered over at the lollipop bowl near the cashier girl.
"Mom? Can I have a lollipop?" Darcie asked politely. "Darcie, you are 12 years old! Not a single 12 year old eats candy these days!" The mother took out her credit card. "And I don't have the money to get fillings!" Darcie groaned, taking out her black headphones and swiping her chestnut hair out of the way.
"Would you like to add a tip?" The cashier lady asked Darcie's mom. "Ooh! Sure!" Secretly, Darcie took a cherry lollipop and hit it in her purple pocket. The cashier smirked.
"Darcie! Just before you start listening to music, I want you to try on your school uniform for next week." Mom yelled to the 2 floor. Darcie grumbled and threw her phone against her loft bed. She slowly got changed into her beige uniform and slumped down the stairs.
"Oh! Darcie! You look so cute! Stand right there while I take a picture!" The mom said.
"Mom, I look like what my friends would describe as 'Anime'." Darcie complained.
"Darcie, stay still! You're ruining the picture!" The mom said.
