Ruby looked out through her bedroom window, the clouds were an off green color and had been twisting and turning as if a storm was forming. She stood up and walked to the entrance of her rather small room which had been furnished with the bare minimum, and then even the bare minimum was of low quality as her bed was stiff as a rock. Ruby headed out into the streets, the coldness of the air caused her to tremble and shiver, and a police officer walked toward her with a kind smiled, "Ruby, you shouldn't be out." Ruby sighed and smiled "What's up this time Micah, I have to get some food from the store?" Micah sighed "A building is suffering from structural damage due to the past blizzards, the building, and the area surrounding it had been evacuated. With that said, until the buildings are reinforced, no civilian can enter the market district-"
A loud boom could be heard from the distance soon after the ground shook Micah looked behind him, where it seemed to start and smoke formed ruby's eyes widened as the smoke seemed to her to be still but in fact had been rushing towards them, ruby grabbed Micah's arm and turned tail and ran pushing past anyone who got in their way "Ruby!" "What the hell just happened!" He said soon after his words, the earth began to pulse ruby looked behind and saw nothing no smoke or anything so she stopped, but Micah looked around confused and worried "What the hell is this!" He said reaching toward a bluish floating gem, Ruby felt unease so she quickly turned around and saw a reddish floating gem in front of her, quickly before they could run in an instant everything turned dark.
Ruby felt nothing, she felt witless on what was happening suddenly an untranslatable speech could be heard and everything began to go back to as normal as can be, with a woman's face greeting her, the women had purplish hair and the man an even darker and unique purple, and throughout all their untranslatable words she could only understand one thing "Lavender."
Some years later
Lavender looked at her hands, blood covered them as she overused her magic, yet everyone around her yelled different orders in her face a man who stuck out like a swore thumb walked forward "Lavender, can you try this spell." Lavender bit her lip, suddenly the door slammed open, a woman who seemed to have a lot on her shoulders walked in smiling "Please back, away from the poor girl." The mages, who surrounded her, stepped back from lavender as quickly as the unknown lady ordered."
Lavender stood up and walked toward her "Hello Miss Lavender Greene I'm Rachel Lorington a noble family from the empire of Valdoria, these mages tell me you're a special girl."
___
Lavender raised her hand, marking formed up her entire wrist, "So, who is this Lavender girl Galen?" A man smiled as he responded to the name, "Lavender is a fairy from the Black Forest, she and her friend and brother were found during the necromancers attack, and they were put in the mage system some time ago." The man Galen was talking to smiled, "Then you got your greedy hands on her, and turned her to your heir." Galen smiled, "Wouldn't say it like that, but yes." Lavender turned and walked over to Galen sweat poured down her face due to her hard workouts "Galen, I've trained as you asked, and I've stayed in the barrier of the first god, I wish to visit my friends and brother in Eldoria." Galen shrugged, "Your job as my squire is my job, you can't let family or friends distract you." Lavender closed her hands into a fist, "I've read over all your spell books practicing each spell without question for the past 4 months. I ask for only one thing!" Lavender yelled Galen sighed he looked up at the bubble of a world, "I guess I do wish to see the sky, haven't really seen it since this war of ours." Lavender smiled at his words but quickly cut her down with only a word, "but first we must attend the banquet of the emperor, then we shall see your friends."
