In this world, society is structured around two primary genders and three sub-genders that influence not only identity but also one's social role, biology, and career trajectory.

Primary Genders:

  1. Male

  2. Female

Sub-Genders:

  1. Alpha

  2. Beta

  3. Omega

At the age of 12, every individual undergoes a sub-gender test that determines their classification. This result deeply shapes their future, especially their career options, legal standing, and interpersonal relationships.

Alpha

Making up approximately 10% to 15% of the population, Alphas are regarded as natural-born leaders. They exhibit high aptitude across fields and are often seen in powerful, high-ranking positions—CEOs, politicians, scientists, military commanders. Rarely do Alphas serve in subordinate roles.

Biologically, Alphas are highly responsive to Omega pheromones, which they can detect by scent. During an Omega's heat cycle, this triggers an intense, nearly uncontrollable sexual drive, often overriding their rational faculties. Many Alphas either rely on medication to dull the pheromone effect or develop mental conditioning, but most choose not to suppress their instincts fully.

Alphas can form a permanent bond with an Omega by biting their nape, a physical mark that creates a biological connection. Once bonded, the Alpha becomes the primary person affected by that Omega’s pheromones during heat cycles, unless the bond is later broken.

Beta

Betas are the majority, comprising 80% to 85% of the population. They are considered the “neutral” sub-gender and exhibit the broadest range of talents, professions, and social standing. Unlike Alphas or Omegas, Betas do not emit or respond strongly to pheromones and cannot bond.

Though they can still sense an Omega’s heat, the effect is mild, triggering attraction, but not the loss of control that Alphas experience. Betas are often seen as the stabilizing force in society.

Omega

Omegas are the rarest, making up only 1% to 5% of the population. Despite often having intelligence and aptitude on par with Alphas and Betas, they are widely discriminated against due to their biology. Society views them through a narrow and derogatory lens, primarily as "breeders” because of their extremely high fertility and the instinct-driven heat cycle they experience every few weeks.

A heat lasts 3 to 5 days, during which they emit powerful pheromones that draw in Alphas and, to a lesser degree, Betas. This biological process often endangers their physical safety and autonomy unless suppressed with Heat Suppressants, which can be prohibitively expensive. The dosage needed varies by individual, and the more potent the suppressant, the more costly it is.

While Omegas can achieve great things, they are rarely given the chance. Employers are hesitant to hire them, fearing disruptions caused by heats. Many Omegas are forced into dependence, kept by wealthy Alphas as mistresses, concubines, or surrogates for producing Alpha heirs.

A bonded Omega (bitten on the nape by an Alpha) will primarily affect their bonded Alpha during heat. This bond is exclusive unless intentionally broken by the Alpha.

Disclaimer:

Set in an omegaverse world where heat cycles, pheromones, and sub-gender dynamics create dangerous imbalances, this is not a story of fairy-tale love. This universe is fictional and intentionally explores themes of prejudice, power imbalance, and biological determinism. The harsh societal structure, particularly the discrimination against Omegas, is a deliberate narrative device and not an endorsement of such ideas. It's a gritty, raw exploration of power, consent, trauma, and redemption. Reader discretion is advised.

Tony's life has never followed a straight line, unless it's one drawn in scars. Abandoned by his parents after the discovery of his sub-gender as an Omega, he was forced to grow up in a world that viewed him as weak, disposable, and shameful. At just 17, the one person who made him believe otherwise, Robbie, his first love and bonded Alpha, betrayed him at his most vulnerable, shattering Tony’s trust and leaving him with nothing but the ashes of what could have been.
Years later, Tony is no longer that fragile teenager. A single parent to his bright, gentle son, Twen, and holding down a job at an elite resort, he's learned to live with his pain, sealing it off behind careful routines and emotional boundaries. But fate has other plans. When Robbie walks back into his life, older and clearly still bound to Tony through a bond neither of them can ignore, Tony’s fragile peace begins to unravel. The past he tried to bury claws its way to the surface, forcing him to confront old betrayals, unresolved desire, and the truths about their bond.

Trigger Warning:

This story explores adult and potentially distressing themes, including sexual assault, kidnapping, male pregnancy, and emotionally intense scenes of manipulation and trauma recovery. Reader discretion is strongly advised.

*No hate comments are entertained*

The names of the characters, places, institutes, hotels, resorts, and beaches are all fictional, and any resemblance to anyone or any place is purely coincidental.

It is a slow-burn romance; hence, please bear with the slow development.
