{Please note, this series contains a car accident and death resulting in it and trauma. If that makes you uncomfortable, you don't have to read this story.}

“And so, I dub you a full fledged angel under the guardian of Gabriel,” said a woman in a white robe with long flowing blond hair. She smiled to the teenager dressed in a white robe, his red eyes watching her. “Here’s your halo. Don’t loose it now.” She said, handing the boy a golden ring.

“I won’t!” he said, taking the ring in his hands and propped it up above his head. The ring glimmered a faint golden color before seeming to become apart of the boy’s body but not touching him. He smiled brightly, and bowed.

Later that day, the young man was sitting in a pile of fluffy blue clouds looking down to the world below.

“Something wrong?” asked a younger angel, bouncing over to him.

“Huh?” he looked up and to the other, his chocolate hair moving a bit. “No… Just… I want to know how I died.”

“Didn’t you die in a car accident?” the angel asked, sitting next to him, his blond curly hair all puffed up with his halo hanging above him.

“Well yeah,” he nodded. “But Miram… I want to know more than that. I want to know who was driving that car that hit mine…”

“They didn’t die?” the boy asked.

“No.” he shook his head, hanging it.

Miram stood up and bounced around. “You better keep positive thoughts or you won’t be able to fly anymore!”

“I know that!” he said, looking at the other. “It just doesn’t seem fair! I died and he – the drunk – didn’t! How is that justified?”

The angel stopped jumping, putting his finger to his lips. “Hmm I guess it isn’t. But I died from influenza. How’s that justified, or is it just unlucky?”

A moment to think and he stood up, “Okay… I’ll find out!”

“What?”

“I’m going down to Earth to find out!” he said with a nod.

“You’re gonna get in trouble, Dareka!” Miram called.

Already the other had jumped, letting the magic of gravity pull him from the safety of the clouds down to the green earth below.
