My Life, My Book

Intro

Intro

Aug 18, 2017

My life is kinda uneventful. I was born 23rd December 2000 in England. My earliest memory was probably being roughly between the ages of 4 and 6. I was at my grandmother's house which we visited every so often.

we had just eaten dinner and were getting ready for dessert. My mother had decided for whatever reason that the chair I was sitting on needed to be changed and so without telling me, grabbed the chair from under me and as a result, I fell and cracked my head open against the table.

Whilst accidentally, I still was quite traumatized by the event. I remember sitting on the stairs and blood dripping down them, I don't know how true that bit was but I remember it that way and so that's how I shall tell it. the next section of it that I remember is being driven by my mother and father to the local doctors which ( it being the countryside) was conveniently about 20 minutes away which meant that I was in the back of the car with my head  bleeding, on my way to the doctor.

The memory ends there but I know I got steri strips and all was good. That event alone and the head injury may be why I can't remember much before that.

what I do remember however was the most important thing in my life to this day. Gender. from a very young age, probably as young as 3 I knew I was different. I didn't play football with the boys, I didn't enjoy the typical boy things like pirates, rough play and the aforementioned football. I instead enjoyed typically girly things. I enjoyed painting, glitter and sparkly sequins and things like that. I didn't obviously link it to what I know feel today but I knew I was different.

At aged 12 I truly became aware of the LGBT+ community and the differences that others like me felt. I then knew that I was transgender and from the stories I had seen online about people like me who had come out to their family and received so much hate I felt that I too had to hide how I felt.

I started researching into what I identified as along with how I then feeling about my sexuality. I spend hours at a time on google and youtube and social media. I  made friends that accepted me and I felt truly at home.
