An Omegas life will never be easy. That’s what my mom told me the day I found out I was an omega. In the society I live in, omegas have always been seen as nothing more than bodies to carry the children of alphas.
Most omegas never have long term solid careers. They usually end up marrying some rich alpha than trying to become independent. I don’t want that life for myself. I want to work hard and make something of myself. Everybody thinks I’m crazy for having such dreams but it’s not like I’ll be the first one to do it. There are so many omegas who have proved to society that they are worth something. Take Dana Wilson, a female omega who completed her masters degree and got her licensing to become a therapist. She makes a lot of money now and has even be listed as one of the worlds top earning Omegas. I want to be like Dana Wilson.
“Lee can I come in?” My mom called out from the hallway
“Yes”
“I cant believe you’re going back to school already!” My mom said and sat next to me on my bed
“I can’t believe it too!”
“I’m so proud of you Lee, making it to your second year as an Omega is really such a big achievement.”
“Thank you mom. I’m really happy that I managed to do it. It wasn’t easy you know with the heat cycles, irregular pheromone release, all the bullying and sexual harassment but I did it.”
“Just keep doing your best. Focus on your school and nothing more. Always move in groups and make sure you have your phone at all times”
“Yes mom I know that already” I replied teasingly
“You know when I was you’re age I was so afraid to go to university and the omega exclusive universities were so expensive. So I married your father in a heart beat when I got an invite. Sometimes I regret it but your father has been nothing but good to me and seeing you do something so brave just makes me so happy”
“Never regret the decision you made mom. Look at you now, a successful business owner. That’s still a great achievement”
