PROLOGUE:
I can't think.
I can't comprehend what had happened in front of my eyes.
We have gone through good and bad together. We have gone through fights and peace.
We are the only two people who went against society...
My father who has thrown my out of the house because he couldn't accept us, is looking for you now as well.
We didn't run away. You couldn't and I wouldn't allow it.
Our fateful meeting was planned but not this..
So why did you leave me here all alone? Why have you gone all by yourself and not take me with you?
Where are you?
My precious bodyguard.

"He is going to follow you around all day, keep a watchful eye on you and others around you. He'd even go to the same bathroom stall as you if needed. He is the type of person with the type of job that rich spoiled kids hate the most-"
"-Dad, get on with it already. I have homework to do." I roll my eyes, interrupting my father's speech.
When he realizes that I find no interest in the current topic, he just sighs and shakes his head.
"He is going to be your bodyguard until the day you die." Father simply says. then, walks away after getting an important call- Leaving my new companion and I alone.
Without saying a word, we just stare into each other's eyes. His electric grey eyes bore into my boring brown ones- Making me forget about my father shortly after.
"I am going to be your bodyguard from today onward. Please take care of me." The tall man says with a glint of excitement in his eyes.
"Like wise. I am not going to hate on you just 'cause you are doing your job, so you have nothing to worry about..."After a few seconds of silence I decide to warn him anyway.
"Just make sure, you don't go to the same stall as I do."
A chuckle escapes from his pinkish lips before a bright and beautiful smile curves on his young face.
"Don't worry, I won't go in unless I have to."
"Even when you do, don't."
"Can't promise that."
"I know."

"If may I ask, what is it that you are doing?" I look over my shoulder to find my new partner following me into my room.
He tilts his head in curiosity.
"I guess you don't know what a bodyguard means if you ask such cute questions."
"Well, truthfully, I know that it could be quite the stress on one's soul, except that, not really." I open the door to my room and let my new friend inside.
I make my way toward my desk where I have left my homework, sit at the chair next to it and try to concentrate on the task at hand but it was difficult to do since the man in the suit is staring at me without blinking.
"What is it that you are looking at?"
"You of course. Where else could I look?"
I sigh and turn my attention onto him.
"What are you trying to do, Mister bodyguard?"
"What would any other bodyguard should consider doing. Getting to know the guarded."
"By staring holes into the side of my head?"
"I didn't want to interrupt."
"You staring is a worse interruption than your own mouth, Mr. Bodyguard."
"Understood. Then I shall keep using it if you will."
"A wise decision, Mr. Bodyguard."
"It's Gin. My name is Gin."
"Alright.. Gin." He nods in approval.
"What is your name, Mr... Emm..-"
"It's Alex. Thought you have already known that."
"I did but that is how you usually start a conversation... Alex." A chuckle escapes from deep within my throat.
"I see, I see. Very well."
"You seem very educated for someone who home-schooled since the age of 12, Alex."
"Ah, yes. My father..." I rub the back of my head awkwardly. "-He..-"
"-You don't have to explain any further, I understand you completely."
"Do explain." Though the fact that he cut me in the middle of my sentence disturbs me and makes my blood boil, I decide to return the gesture and get to know my bodyguard a bit further.
"Well, you see. Though I haven't came from a family such as yours, my parents did everything and anything so I could go to school and have proper studies. They urged me since I was little that without education- I am literally a no one to society and I would have a shitty life."
"And?"
"Well, I have graduated at the top of my class through middle-school and high-school, I have gone to one of the best Universities with a Scholarship- And after all this hard, mental-breaking, work- I am still a no one to society." He chuckles to himself.
"Why were your parents so obsessed over your success?"
"You know.. I grew up in a very poor family, surroundings and education at home. I am able to speak this well because of school. Since my parents, both of them, failed at school multiple times- they were thrown out of school by force and haven't graduated. So when they had me, they decided that I would-"
"That you would succeed instead of them and live a happy after?" Gin laughs but shakes his head, a dark expression surfaces.
"They decided that they'd 'hypnotize' me to be committed only to studies. So the only thing that I think about is my future, my success and everything else above. Why have they done that? So I could be their bank. My parents are greedy but unlike other people who hide it, they make it too obvious."
"You didn't have a simple life."
"There's no such thing as a simple life.. Because if life would have been so simple then it would have gone the way that you wanted it to from the very beginning."
"That is.. a life-saving fact. You are right." I nod, agreeing with Gin. After a few moments of silence between us, I decide to say the words that I have wanted to convey.
"Listen.. I am sorry for what had happened to you back then...-" Gin chuckles then shakes his head disapprovingly before ruffling my hair with his large hand.
"You have no need to apologize, kiddo. You had nothing to with those events. On the contrary, your family saved me."
My eyes just couldn't stop observing his expressions that change so openly without a care. Though he was standing next to me, a complete stranger, he openly and honestly speaks to me.
Did he open up to me? Or is it something else? Why does he trust me so easily?
"Have we met before?"
The sweet look in his eyes changes to the one of shock but he quickly hides it as if it were never there.
"No, I don't think so."
I shrug, thinking maybe the sense of familiarity is just an imagination that my mind has created.
"Well, even if we haven't met before.. Thank you for opening up to me." The corner of my lips tilt upward, creating a small smile.
Gin rewards me with a bigger and brighter smile before nodding and sitting on my soft bed.
"What about homework?" His eyes drift to the clock.
I gasp and curse under my breath.
It's ten PM and I have so much to do.
"I will let you concentrate now, good luck." Gin ruffles my hair again before walking out of my room and closing the door behind him quietly.
"Couldn't he have done that before?-" I mumble irritated. "-Shit! Concentrate, Alex! Concentrate!"
