I've got to get this under control. I need to be okay. Just smile and be who they want you to be. Just today. Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today.

Zache opened his eyes and studied his room. Looking from wall to wall, picture to picture. He got up and looked towards the kitchen.

"Did I make it to the store last night? I don't think I did. Well this stinks. He opened the fridge and stared at the empty shelves. Unless I want to eat ketchup, I better find somewhere to go. Dang!"

He walked out of the kitchen and threw on a shirt on and dug through the laundry. Then grabbing his bag off the counter went out into the chilly morning.

After picking a song on his e-path, he started towards the college. His felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. Looking at the caller ID he answered.

"Hey, sis." He said instinctively. He was always happy to talk to her. She was the only one who saw him for him. "What are you doing up this early? What time is it there? Like noon?" He smiled, Alena always slept in and caused disorder, wherever she went.

"Haha, very funny. Just calling to check on you. You still single?"

"You ask that question every time. Why? I wonder?"

"I told you why. It's because mom and dad won't stop buggin' me about it. Since you won't talk to them."

"Yeah..... I don't have anything to say to them."

"You really should tell them. I think it would help. Maybe then dad would stop trying to hook you up with every girl he sees."

"Yeah don't most dads.... I don't know.... try to keep their kids away from that?"

"Well you are 21, and you have never had a girlfriend. You've never even talked about girls. They see the signs, they just don't believe it."

"Yeah and when I tell them will you tell them about Troy?"

"Woah! Let's not go that far!" He started laughing and could hear her laughing on the other end. "Troy is not to blame." He stared up at the school wanting to go back to bed.

"You'll have to bring him soon, I miss him." He heard barking. "Is that him?"

"Yeah you should see him, he's huge! He eats a ton of food! While being as thin as a twig!" They laughed. "I'll bring him soon. But, if it would help you, I'll tell mom and dad about my dog you tell them about you."

"I'll wait and see if I actually meet anybody. Not like I'll find someone today anyways."

"Alright, well I have to get to work. Have fun at school! Love you! Bye!"

"Love you, too. Bye." He hung up and stared at the phone. He looked up at the school walking forward towards his first class.

"Tell my parents I'm gay. That would go well." He chuckled and went inside.
