It was an average day for Nolan fox, except this time, Nolan wanted to wander. Which he soon regretted, he was on the way to see his brother Maru, and they got separated on the trail. He decided to take a shortcut through Spirit Forest.
Which he soon began to regret. It was not long before Nolan got lost. He looked around, but all he could see were chilling trees. Which seemed to smile at him with every look he gave them. Each time getting creepier than before. Nervously, he felt into his bag for his favorite toy, Mr. Muddle, which talks sometimes. But when he went to look, Mr. Muddle was nowhere to be found! Nolan began to panic. He felt sure he had packed Mr. Muddle. To make it even worse, he was starting to feel hungry.
Unexpectedly, he saw a suspicious bear dressed in a black skirt disappearing into the trees. Or at least it looked like a bear.
"That’s totally not weird..." Nolan thought. “No one should be here beside me, and my brother.” “Could that old myth be true?” He thought. “It shouldn’t, isn’t it just an old folktale,” Nolan thought. With nothing better to do, he decided to follow the weirdly dressed Man. Hopefully, it could lead him out of this wretched place.
Eventually, Nolan reached a field. He found himself surrounded by buildings made from different sorts of food. They were cabins! There was a cabin made from carrots, a cabin made from biscuits, and a cabin made from Jell-O.
Nolan could feel his tummy rumbling. Looking at the cabins did nothing to help his hunger.
“Funny, I’ve never seen this kind...” the witch mumbled.
“Is it named to?...hmmm.” The witch continued to mumble to herself.
She looked down, and saw something that surprised her.
“Huh? What, an all-rounder doing here, a young one at that?”
"Hello? Hello!" he called. "Is anybody there?"
Nobody replied.
Nolan looked at the cabin in front of him and wondered if it would be rude to eat somebody else's window. Obviously, it would be rude to eat a whole cabin, but maybe it would be considered alright to chow on a little piece of the window.
An odd laugh broke through the air, giving Nolan a fright. A witch jumped into the space in front of the cabins. She was carrying a cage. In that cage was Mr. Muddle!
"Mr. Muddle!" shouted Nolan. He turned to the witch. "That's my... toy?"
“”Why do you sound confused about whether it’s a toy or not? with a raised brow, the witch asked.
“I can’t tell myself; he talks and moves sometimes. “ Nolan told the witch.
“And... That's normal for you”. The witch said with a curious expression
“Man, even I don’t know what’s going on with him, but, you have him, so just give him back!” “Mr. Muddle is mine!”
