Not Meant To Be…

Jul 04, 2023

Olivia looks at herself in the mirror. She was dressed casually but beautifully. Nodding at her reflection, Olivia got her phone and headed to her girlfriend's house, Iris Starling.

Rolling her shoulders back, Olivia got to Iris' place and entered as Iris had told her she could let herself in. Olivia walked to Iris' main bedroom; she knocked and opened the doors, only to see a sight that ripped her heart apart.

Iris was pregnant, two months and there, with her, was Olivia's brother, Henry.

Olivia immediately watched as Iris and Henry looked at her in shock.

"I finally get it now, Iris—no wonder you haven't wanted to see me. My brother got you pregnant... wow..." she mumbled.

Olivia got her phone, and she saw a text from someone. They had sent proof of everything between Iris and Henry.

Immediately, Olivia looked at Iris' hands and saw an engagement ring. Her jaw dropped open, her eyes wide in betrayal.

Olivia looked at one specific photo and saw the engagement ring. Covering her mouth, Olivia shook her head, and she bolted off.

Putting her phone away, tears in her eyes, Olivia ran home. She had to stifle her sobs. When Olivia got home, she entered and ran to her room.

Jake and Marcus saw Olivia, exchanged looks, and then followed her. Olivia put her phone down on her bedside table with trembling hands.

"H-How could she...? H-How could Henry!" She sobbed.

Marcus quietly opened the doors and entered with Jake. The two shut the doors. Olivia looks at her two eldest brothers.

"O-Oh... hi," she says shakily.

"What happened, Olivia? Is everything alright?" Marcus asked gently.

Olivia got her phone and unlocked it. She gave it to Marcus, who carefully took it and looked through the photos. He and Jake were shocked and mortified.

Sitting on her king-sized canopy bed, Olivia looked down at the floor, tears racing down her cheeks.

Jake and Marcus approach Olivia after putting her phone down. The two sat down on both sides of their youngest sister.

"Iris wasn't the one for you. If she decided it was okay to hit it off with Henry, she's not the one for you, Olivia. There will be someone worthy of your love, attention, care, etc. Iris wasn't the one. We'll be here if you ever need us, okay?" Jake said softly.

Olivia nods her head, wiping tears away. She sniffles a little, still severely upset. By night, Olivia was trying to accept what reality had done to her.

She got up from the bed and decided to get a fizzy drink from the kitchen. Olivia was still very sore. When she entered the kitchen, she saw Iris with Henry, the two seeming to wait for Olivia.

Just as Iris and Henry looked at Olivia, she was turning to leave. However, Iris caught her wrist.

"O-Olivia, please, let me explain," she said, pleading.

"You don't need to explain anything. I get what your intentions were. You didn't love me. You just found it an excuse to hit on one of my brothers. Shame on you, Iris..." Olivia sneered.

Henry was quiet; he knew he was guilty. Iris tugs on Olivia's wrist, an arm wrapped around her two-month baby bump

"Please, Olivia," she pleaded.

"Get lost. And besides, I know what makes you more unconvincing. You got pregnant by Henry. You think you're superior and can go and sleep around while I stay loyal to you. You disgust me, Iris..." Olivia sneered again.

She ripped her wrist from Iris' grip and left the kitchen. With her heart in her throat, Olivia immediately saw Marcus.

"M-Marcus!" She cried out.

Marcus heard Olivia and immediately looked at her and approached her quickly. He pulled Olivia into his arms.

"What's wrong, Olivia?" He asked, worried

"I-Iris and Henry are here... i-in the kitchen... Iris is pleading to explain..." Olivia whimpered, starting to cry.

Marcus became concerned. He suddenly saw Henry approaching.

"Look, Marcus, please, let Iris and I explain!" Henry said, pleading.

Marcus narrowed his eyes.

"Why? Olivia was distraught catching you with her now ex-girlfriend. Olivia had no idea of this until now! She stayed faithful to Iris because she suspected Iris was doing the same! Now she's found out you fucked around with Iris and GOT HER PREGNANT! Have you got no shame, Henry!?" He barked.

Henry knew he was guilty, and he showed it.

"I am ashamed, but if you would let Iris and I explain, I will tell you most definitely that I am ashamed!" He sneered

"Are you getting defensive because of your guilt? You should know better than that. You've torn your sister's heart into pieces. I bet that makes you feel good. And to know Iris liked you, she ditched Olivia to be with you. You feel good about it, don't you?" Marcus said firmly.

Henry sighed a little angrily as Iris approached. Olivia stayed cuddled up in Marcus' arms, crying. Marcus had an idea. He got his phone out and texted Nigel, Iris' eldest brother, and Edmond Sterling and Erick Swan.

After he was done, Marcus put his phone away.

"Leave, both of you." He said bitterly and left with Olivia to the lounge room.

Marcus held Olivia close as she continued to cry. She was still in pain. When the two get to the lounge room, they see Jake there.

Jake looked at Olivia and stood up.

"What happened? Is everything okay?" He asked

"Henry and Iris are here and making a scene," Marcus mumbled.

Jake's eyes widen. He became serious

"Okay, they're just rubbing it in now. It's clear Olivia's hurt. Did she tell them to leave?" He asked

"Yes. I did, too, but the two refused to. Henry and Iris feel they deserve a chance to explain themselves. But what they did is pretty self-explanatory. And if they try to explain to us why they did what they did, it can give them a chance to cover up and lie. So that's why we're not letting them explain." Marcus said bitterly.

Jake nods

"I see. Well, what do we plan to do?" He asked

"I've texted Erick, Nigel and Edmond to come over. We've got some chatting to do. I'm going to see whether Crystal or Ruby can help Olivia. I've asked Erick to bring Crystal and Edmond to bring Ruby. All we need to do is keep Henry and Iris away. I know they won't leave until we allow them to explain. That's what I want to avoid," Marcus said.

Jake nodded again, "Sounds like a plan. I better call for the others. They're in their rooms. I'll text them and explain what's going on," he said.

Marcus nods, sits Olivia down, and then sits beside her. Olivia hid her face in her hands, trying to calm down and stop crying.

Jake eventually finished on his phone and left the room but told Marcus and Olivia that he'd return as soon as possible.

Marcus cuddles Olivia

"Crystal and Ruby are coming to give you moral support, Olivia. If needs be, we'll see how you all feel by getting together as a threesome. We'll chat about it, though," he said softly.

Olivia nods. She wipes tears away, sits up, and sits back.

"I just... I want to move on. I don't want Iris in my life anymore, and it's the same with Henry... I don't want him near me..." she whispers.

Marcus only nods

"We'll make sure they don't come near you. We want you to heal, and if it takes for Iris and Henry to stay right away, we'll do that for you," he says softly.

Olivia nods. Eventually, Erick, Edmond, Crystal, Ruby, and the other Southwell siblings, excluding Henry, enter and take seats.

Marcus keeps Olivia close to him. However, he nods at the girls, and the two take Olivia under their wings. Crystal and Ruby cuddle Olivia and chat to her softly as the boys talk about the situation.

Olivia became comfortable, and she even started falling in love with Crystal and Ruby, which helped her to become distracted from thoughts of Iris.

The three girls went to Olivia's main bedroom. At the same time, the boys continue to try to find solutions for Olivia regarding the mess Iris has thrown her into.

Olivia and the two girls she was with entered the main bedroom and shut the doors

"Honestly, girls, I never thought Iris would take me for granted like that... I loved and stayed loyal to her, but she thought it'd be funny if she bent my trust until it broke," Olivia mumbled.

"Well, Iris was wrong to treat you so poorly, Olivia. You're a very loveable and trustworthy partner. You're very loving and caring, and you go above and beyond. For Iris not to have seen that was her ignorance. She had her sights on Henry yet decided not to tell you because God knows the reason, and now look at where Iris is. She's pregnant and engaged to Henry, and she's broken you into a thousand pieces," Crystal said cautiously yet softly.

Olivia nodded her head, and she turned around and faced Crystal and Ruby.

"Iris made me afraid to love again. Yet, so soon, you two, I've fallen in love with you both... If we want to, we can fight three against one," she smiled.

Ruby and Crystal grin and nod their heads

"Count us in, babe. Besides, we can show Iris how to care for a beauty. We'll show Iris what she missed and that we can do much better. Believe us, Olivia, we'll do much better than Iris," Ruby spoke.

Olivia nods, grinning too. The three girls approached Olivia's king-sized canopy bed and sat on it after taking any shoes and socks off.

Rolling her shoulders back, Olivia sighed.

"It's been a lot. I'm sorry you girls had to witness the conversation and all. But Iris and Henry have yet to realise they're paying a terrible price," she mumbles.

"They'll realise sooner or later, Olivia. You're an amazing little sister, and Henry should know he's fortunate to have such a beautiful little sister. And Iris has just lost the most amazing girl everyone dreams of having as their partner. Iris will realise that Henry was never the one for her and that getting pregnant by him was a mistake. Both of them should've known so much better. But we'll let them face those realisation challenges on their own." Crystal nods confidently.

Olivia smiles a little, and she nods, too. Ruby and Crystal lie down with Olivia, and the girls cuddle. Olivia closed her eyes and relaxed in Ruby and Crystal's arms.

However, not long after Olivia had fallen asleep, she jumped awake, hearing the doors open and people entering. There, Iris stood with Henry.

Ruby and Crystal sit up with Olivia. Yawning, Olivia takes a minute to wake up. She and her new girlfriends look at the two.

"Since when could you just invite yourself into my bedroom?" She asked

"Well, I'm your girlfriend, and this is your brother," Iris said carefully.

"No, no. You're mistaking me for your girlfriend. Iris, you're not my girlfriend. These two are my lovers. You threw me away for my brother. And this brother isn't allowed in my room after how he hurt me." Olivia said bitterly.

Crystal got off the bed and brushed herself off.

"Why are you still interested in Olivia, Iris? You don't love her. You're pregnant with her brother's baby. You're engaged to him as well! Is that what a good girlfriend does to the one she supposedly loves so much?" She asked, crossing her arms over her chest

"I made a mistake; I admit that," Iris said.

"Then why haven't you pushed Henry away?" Ruby asked as she got off the bed as well

"Well... because I'm carrying his baby," Iris said with a sigh.

Crystal and Ruby looked at each other as Olivia got off her bed. She approached her balcony and opened the doors. All eyes went to Olivia as she stepped out onto the balcony.

Feeling the sun on her face, Olivia rested her arms on the balcony railing.

"It's hopeless, Iris. We were nothing. Could you leave me alone? If you're here to see Henry anytime, fine. But don't come and bother me. I won't let you in again. I did it once, and it was my worst mistake." She said, then turned around.

Her eyes held bitterness and sadness.

"I trusted you. I trusted you with everything. I stayed loyal to you. Yet you played me. You bent and broke my trust. You tore my heart into a million pieces, and it's all because you couldn't tell me you were dating my brother." She sneered.

Crystal approached Olivia and gently took her arms into her hands.

"Relax, sweetheart. I know you're angry, but you don't need to worry about these two, okay?" She said softly.

Olivia calms down and nods. She leaned in and connected her lips to Crystal's, to which Crystal kissed back.

The two girls pulled away, nodding at each other and entered the main bedroom again. The two approached Ruby. Olivia kissed her cheek and took her hand.

"Leave, Iris. Take Henry with you. You two are as bad as each other, considering I trusted you so much, yet you betrayed me, backstabbed me and broke my heart into a million pieces. May karma find you peacefully and its job. Now go. Leave." She said firmly.

Iris reached out to Olivia.

"Forget it." Olivia spat, eyes narrowed.

Iris sighs

"I'll be back, Olivia. I want to chat to you properly about this." She said softly

"Well, we'll see. But I doubt I want to speak to you again." Olivia said bitterly.

Iris and Henry look at each other and leave together. Olivia shakes her head.

"I cannot believe the nerve the two have..." she whispers.

Ruby and Crystal comfort their girlfriend. That night, Crystal and Ruby gave Olivia goodnight kisses and then headed home with their eldest brother.

Olivia smiles, lovestruck by her two girlfriends. She got ready for bed and got into bed. Smiling, Olivia closed her eyes and fell asleep.

However, when Olivia awoke in the morning, she found herself in an unfamiliar bed. She sits up and looks around.

"Okay... what's going on?" She asked.

A male enters, and Olivia becomes alarmed.

"Ah, please don't be alarmed. I'm not here to hurt you," the male said

"Who are you? And how did I get here?" Olivia asked, showing she was untrusting

"Ah, yes. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Mason Mallon. I am the creator of Voltron. You are in Alnara. We got some members of my fandom to bring you here today, Just for today," Mason smiles.

Olivia was unsure

"Why? Why am I here today? Is something happening I'm not aware of?" She asked

"It's a surprise. I'm not going to ruin it for you," Mason grins.

Olivia only nods

"Alright then..." she mumbled.

Mason approached Olivia and sat safely from her because she was still uncomfortable.

"I promise, you're in safe hands here. We're caring people, and the truth shall be revealed by the end of the day. For now, enjoy your day here today, and we'll answer any questions you may have tonight," he said softly and comfortingly.

Olivia only nods

"I um... I'm in my PJs. Is there anything I can wear?" She asked

"Absolutely. In the closet, there will be an outfit for you. I'll wait outside for you. Take your time; there is no rush." Mason smiles and gets up. He left the main bedroom.

Olivia still needed to be convinced. However, considering the male was kind enough to try calming her down and gaining her trust, she knew it was worth giving today a shot.

Rolling her shoulders back, stretching with a yawn, Olivia gave herself a minute to wake her body up. She got out of bed looking at the closet.
