When the feared and reclusive dark vampire lord, Zero Fey, frees a young woman named Vivienne from a psychiatric hospital on a whim, the wheel of fate starts turning again for him. With everything she does, Vivienne reminds him of his lover, Jeanne D’Arc, who died seven hundred years ago.

As if that weren't enough, his archenemy, Enzo Da Fiore, set his sights on her and marked her as his vampire bride when she was still a child.
Now Enzo demands his bride back and the old conflict between him and Zero from 700 years ago resurfaces. In addition to the old feud, Zero, who is known as a human lover among the vampire clans, also has to assert himself against their intrigues. In his attempt to protect Vivienne, he increasingly reaches his limits and the true Dark Lord threatens to emerge.
