Jenna Fairchild has a black octopus beak for a crown, but it had no jewels in it until a giant octopus put one on her crown in the last diplomat testing session. The Octavians are fed up with the attempts made on Jenna's life and they've taken matters into their own tentacles. The jewel generates a force field that snaps off the hands, tongues, and tentacles of anyone who tries to get too close. It also has the unfortunate consequence of drawing its power from Jenna's nervous system. She's wiped out like a surfer at the beach. The floor is a great place to rest her head while she waits for news about Sardius. Did he kill everyone or not?
