Feeling betrayed and bittered to the world of heroism, Cleo quits her position of prestige as the number two hero. After two years of dozing and brooding in the Sacred Forest dungeon, she decides to reenter the hero scene—as a villain.

Meanwhile, her old hero team, the Freedom Guardians are looking for her, and wonder why this new villain has the same unique powers as their beloved friend.

She partners with the sadistic but charming villain Misery, who slowly chips away at her emotional and moral boundaries. Can Cleo cleans the heroes of evil without becoming the very thing she despises?
