Taking place in 2010's California, it stars an ensemble of students and teachers that attend the experimental Bruma's Heart Charter School, a school that uses Montessori principles in an attempt to revolutionize education methods. One of these principles is to give the student body more choice and responsibility over the daily functions in the school. This created a chance of an actual functioning student government that works alongside its administration counterpart.

However, everything starts to go downhill when a rising student movement, C.L.U.B., starts to convince student clubs to merge under one umbrella organization: theirs. A power struggle ignites between C.L.U.B. and the Student Government in the race to control Bruma's Heart.
