Hi, everyone! I'm super excited to share Our Secret Storm with you all!
This is actually the revised version of a story I published before, way back in 2015 on Fictionpress under the name "Alone, Together." I've spent the past few years editing and improving it, and now I finally feel ready to share the new, and completely definitive, version. While I'd originally intended to publish it as a stand-alone novel, I've decided I ultimately feel more comfortable serializing my writing.
The original story was extremely long, so I'm going to split it into two books. Once I finish serializing this first book, I plan to offer it as an ebook for purchase. The ebook will have extra short stories and such, but the Tapas version will always stay up.
For those who are new to this world, welcome and I hope you enjoy it! Consider it my take on an Omegaverse setting, but with plenty of twists and subversions. And on that note, be warned this is not going to be a happy and fluffy story. It will contain a lot of heavy subject matter, including violence, death, explicit sexual content (including depictions of assault), infidelity, abusive relationships, BDSM themes, court politics with all the accompanying nasty intrigue, and morally ambiguous protagonists who harm and manipulate each other as well as other characters. Explicit chapters will always be rated mature and list specific warnings at the start.
Thank you for checking this story out, and if you're interested please do subscribe, comment, and like!
SO excited for this! I don’t actually remember when I first stumbled across your work on FictionPress, but I read both “Alone, Together” and “Curseborn” there and loved them! (And the cover for this is gorgeous, by the way!) I hope your viewership really takes off on this because you absolutely deserve it!
Energos or ministra, dominant or submissive. A magic user can only be one or the other. So Kestrel does his best to act like an energos, even though he knows he's different. Wrong. When he comes to the royal court, he must guard his secret more carefully than ever if he hopes to survive.
And that means avoiding attention from other courtiers, especially the beautiful, mysterious Aramy. Despite being a ministra, Aramy is far from submissive, and he seems to understand Kestrel in a way no one ever has. But Kestrel knows better than to get close to him, not when Aramy is already bonded to the Crown Prince himself.
Yet he can't silence his feelings so easily. As their illicit attraction blooms, danger surrounds them on all sides, and Kestrel must decide if he can truly trust Aramy - or if he's only become a piece in a merciless schemer's game.
