Red.
That was the first color Evren could see when he opened his eyes, his blood leaked from the open wounds on his body forming a pool of blood underneath him, usually, a child choking on his blood would catch the attention of other people yet there was no one on the room to help him.
As His vision became less blurry Evren realized he was still within the testing chamber and passed out again during the experiments, being used as a guinea pig had put an immense burden on his body, and begin pushed on the verge of death every time the torture of having his body experimented every day was driving him insane.
The testing room was a simple large rectangular parlor with a single entrance and numerous observation windows yet only two figures behind a glass window caught Evren’s attention, a middle-aged man smiling and watching the scene as if he was a kid playing with a new toy and a woman who had short hair next to him who had a blank expression.
Evren’s eyes remained fixed on them.
Hatred began to grow within him enabling the boy to ignore the wounds on his body, the bitter taste of iron inside his mouth, the pain that made his body tremble, and the agony of being abandoned by everyone even his Family.
Family?.
Evren scoffed at his thoughts, he stopped considering these people’s family a long time ago, none of them were there for him now, they were just a remnant of memory from the past.
Anger boiled inside him even more, but it was swept away in the blink of an eye as if it had never existed. The blood oozing from his wounds began to return to his body; he could feel his veins reconnecting as his blood raced throughout his body at an abnormally fast and violent rate. His wounds were closing; his heart was pulsed faintly seconds before but was now hammering against his chest.
His blood began to flow fluidly throughout his body as if had it’s own will, it was a different sensation no matter how healthy a heart could be it was impossible to generate heartbeats and make the blood circulate that manner throughout a human body.
The sensation changed again, and now it felt like every part of his body was being ripped apart; the pain should have been excruciating, but Evren's pain receptors seemed to have stopped working along with part of his nerves, yet the pain of having every cell in his body torn apart was still there and capable of driving any man insane.
Suddenly, the pain ceased, and he could feel something had changed in him; even moving his fingers felt different, as if he were inside someone else's body, yet for some reason, it felt somewhat familiar at the same time.
Evren’s senses amplified as if they were now switched on at their maximum he looked at his hand and his nails were no longer there, they had given way to red sharp claws formed from solidified blood.
Even though his body went through all this, his eyes never left the figures behind the window; the man kept smiling, while the woman’s face didn’t change even once the feeling of anger had vanished but the hate was still there deep inside him.
Only one thought occupied the boy’s head.
‘I will slaughter them’
“Alright, we are done with the preliminary tests with subject LXII let’s proceed with the next test” A voice resounded in the test room coming from the speakers.
Everything began to fade, and darkness descended as the memory began to fade.
***
Evren awakened anxious, reliving memories as nightmares became more common to him in the latest months, making sleeping on regular basis torture. When he realized he was still inside the train, his mind finally calmed down.
He had the appearance of an eighteen-year-old boy with dark gray hair and lifeless dark red eyes, he was dressed simply and carried what appeared to be a large musical instrument case on his back, Evren blended easily into the crowd of travelers who, just like him, had just arrived in Vernöva one of the biggest cities in the country.
While he tried to move through the crowd and find the entrance of the station his phone started to vibrate, only then did he remember how much time has passed since he checked his phone for messages; The travel was tiresome, and his lack of sleep had made just even more stressful so he had to avoid his phone like a disease to have at least some hours of sleep
When the notifications and messages started to pop up without stopping, he realized how much time he had been off-line but what truly worried him was that most of the messages came from the same person.
