When former crime scene photographer Patrick Sullivan retreats to the historic old town seeking sanctuary, he is forced to leave everything behind, including swearing off contact with every one that he ever knew.

A few days after his arrival, however, his hopes for a better, quieter life are shattered when the body of a well-known local artist is found inside what was to be his new apartment.
