Riiiiiiinnnnnggggg. Ah shut up! Bang. And there goes the hundred and sixth alarm clock of the year. Anna, wake up. We're gonna be late to school again. Wondering who said that? That's my roommate. She's a crackhead. So about me, to those who know me I'm Anna and to those who don't I'm still the same Anna. I live in an apartment with my friends, Ella, Olivia, George, Noah and Emily. Ah, huge list. We all go to the same school.
Are you planning to get out of your bed?, said Emily with her signature angry face. Um yeah. She glared at me. Haha, she looks funny. "Fine, just get out of my room. I'll come down in five mins." She stomped back angrily as I got out of my bed.
I got up and opened my window to get some air. I then left to do my morning routine and get ready for school. I actually love to go to school. Not that I love studying or anything, it's just that I could meet my best friend there. Yeah, she has always been there to support me.
Her name is Stella. She's the only person who knows everything about me. I've told her things that I've never told anyone else. Aaaannnnnaaa!!!! Oh lord, I'm gonna die today I guess. Someone kicked open the door and entered my room. It was Olivia.
"Olivia, what if I had been dressing up when u had entered the room?" I screamed. "Um...whatever. Okay you're dressed up, them what in the world is stopping you from leaving this room?" she yelled. That's actually a good question, but I didn't have any answer for it.
I stood there saying nothing. She shook her head and said, "Come down." She turned back and left the room. I don't know why but it's really difficult for me to wake up from my sleep.
I walked down the stairs and went to the hall. They all looked at me with the same boring eyes. Crackheads. I didn't feel like having my breakfast, nor did i have any time to have it. I left for school with them.
I walked as fast as I could but as usual the bell had gone before I reached the school. Expected. I ran to my classroom. I kept thinking of a good excuse to tell the teacher. "Excuse me Sir" "Anna, you're late again." It was my professor, Prof. Martin. He looked at me with his squinting eyes and adjusted his glass as he was talking to me.
"Um..sir. Actually when I was coming to school I saw.. a... a.... a dog. And..ah.. It was hurt. So I just treated it's wound and gave him some water. You've always wanted us to show hospitality to animals also. So that's why I couldn't walk away. Um...It ah...wouldn't be great to bit follow your teachings, isn't it?"
Oh god, I'm good at making stories. One day I'm gonna become a great story writer and... "Get in" he pointed at my seat. "And also, the story wasn't satisfying. You could have told something like the bus was late, or you misses your bus." I don't come by bus Idiot. And I told you the same reason yesterday and you asked me to meet the principal.
And I sat down in my seat. I prepared myself to listen to his boring lecture for another hour. "So students, today we're gonna talk about adolescent psychology. Everyone of you fall under category. So let's make the session interactive. So you must tell me about your mentality. First let's start with a person whom you guys suggest ."
"Anna", yelled someone. Oh boy. I got up from my seat slowly. "So Anna, tell me about yourself. How do you get along with people?" Oh oh... I'm screwed. "Prof, actually most of them look at me as an optimistic person. Maybe that's the reason why many people come forward to talk to me. And ...um... I always try to find happiness in the worst times. That's it. Nothing much."
"Great, you may sit down", he said. I sat down and turned around to look at the window. Every word, every single word was a lie. I could never tell anyone about it. Because according to others, I'm still a POLLYANNA.
