The first chapter of the first book of the first section of the Bible - the beginning of all and the creation of the world.
The Hebrew title of the Book of Genesis, "בראשית" ('Bereshit') literally means 'In the beginning', and is the first word of the Hebrew Bible. The word Genesis was used in the Latin Vulgate, and is borrowed from the Greek "γένεσις" ('Yenesis'), which means 'Origin'.
