"Here is your briefing, boys. Make sure you read over it carefully and memorize what needs to be memorized." Our assignment handler, Marcus, told us as he handed us the blue and green envelopes. For some reason mine were always green while Nelly's were always blue.
"Thank you, Mark." Nelly said as we left the room.
"Good luck boys." Mark shouted after us.
"I wonder what we have to do this time." I said, opening my envelope. It had a couple of back to back papers covered in writing and an ID. This time I got to be fully American. The last time it was German and I struggled learning the language.
"It says here that we have to go to a high school and kill a high school girl." Nelly said quickly scanning his papers.
"Great this will be quick."
"Actually not, apparently we have to get information from her too. This means that we will have to become her friends."
"I have never had to be someone's friend before. This might just be fun."

Nelly and I were on our way to the school. Raven View High, a school in the middle of a busy town. Also a school for rich kids, talented kids and kids whose parents just managed to afford a place in the area. Nelly and I were going undercover as the sons of an aspiring entrepreneur who had been lucky enough to inherit his parents' fortune. Our fake dad, Peter, the weapons chief officer of the institution, was going to be busy all the time, your typical neglecting rich dad that everyone loves.
It was our first day of school and I was feeling more than nervous. I had never been to school before but Nelly had. It was a mission long time ago that required us to be apart from each other, our first and last mission away from each other.
"I was nervous my first time too." Nelly said not looking away from the landscape outside his window.
"Well I don't like the fact that they want you to play the cool kid while I'm the nerd."
"Twins are meant to be opposite, Nelu." Nelly finally turned to look at me. "This will help us get closer to Mary-Anne."
"What if it's a repeat of Mexico?" I ask, finally voicing my deepest worry.
"It will never be a repeat of that. We are together this time. Remember that." Nelly gripped my hand and said this so fiercely I was ready to believe anything else he said.
"Here you are boys. Raven View." The driver stopped the car and turned to us. "Your weapons will only be delivered on the second week. Just in case you finish before then." He winked at us before turning to face the front, leaving no room for queries.
Nelly and I got out of the car and I could immediately feel people's stares.
"They make me feel like I am dressed weirdly. I look fine, right?" I said standing slightly behind Nelly.
"We are wearing the same outfit, only in different colours. Of course you look fine." Nelly said shouldering his bag. "Now act a little more confidently or you might draw more attention to yourself."
"I'm not even sure what that means." I said walking next to my brother. Before we could even reach the school doors, two cheerleader type girls stopped in front of us.
"Hi, you're new here, right?" The brunette girl asked us. The other girl had reddish hair and a black spot on the corner of her left eye.
"Yeah, we were headed to the office. Do you perhaps know where it is?" Nelly flashed them his killer smile. Although we looked the same Nelly had more of a sexy look while mine was more cute than sexy.
"Sure, just follow us." The red head said smiling. "I'm Michelle and this is Gina."
"Nelly and Nelu." Nelly pointed at each of us as he said our names.
"Such interesting names."
"We will take that as a compliment."
"I would think that guys like you don't need such petty compliments." The brunette stepped in. They lead us to the office and left with a promise of seeing us later in class.
"Good morning, ma'am." Nelly said to the old lady behind the office desk. She smelt like fresh oatmeal cookies.
"Hello, you must be the Carter twins."
"Yes we are. We were told to get our timetables from here."
"Yes they should be around here somewhere." She ruffled through a couple of papers before finding our time tables. We compared time tables and found that we only had two classes together, History and Biology. Everything else was at different times.
"Thank you, ma'am."
"Mrs Bright and it's my pleasure. If you ever need anything at all then just pop into my office."
Nelly waved at her and we left the office.
"We are still in the same building Nelu." Nelly said giving me a quick side hug while we were still alone in the corridor.
"Whatever." I said checking for my first lesson. We parted ways as our first lesson was in separate parts of the building. I was staring at my timetable when I walked straight into some one, making their books and notes fall on the floor.
"I am so sorry." It was a girl with white blonde hair and mocha skin, a strange combination.
"No, I'm sorry. I wasn't looking wear I was going."
"Well neither was I and I'm kinda clumsy." She said gathering what was left of her papers in to a messy pile.
"I guess that makes both of us." I said handing her the last paper. She looked up at me and smiled. If my Intel was correct she was Mary-Anne's best friend, I had just forgotten her name though. "I'm Nelu Carter."
"Grace Leeland." We both stood up as the first bell rang. People around us started rushing to their own classes. "What's your first class?"
"Math in E-5."
"Same class as me. It's actually not that far, but you were going in the wrong direction." Grace and I quickly hurried to the first lesson of the day.
My Math teacher made me introduce myself to the class before he allowed me to sit at the back of the class where no one could bother me. The class was rather okay in size and had quite a few empty desks. Grace sat on the other side of the class room right behind the target. I wasn't sure if my timetable was purposely made so I had her in my class of if it was just a coincidence.
After class Grace and Mary-Anne waited outside for me.
"Hey I'm Mary-Anne Richard. Grace told me how you two met."
Mary-Anne was a rather short girl. She had shoulder length brown hair that was straight and lifeless. Half her face was covered in freckles and she had pale skin that made her blue eyes stand out more. She looked just like how she looked in the picture, like a lifeless doll. Her personality was opposite though as throughout the morning she had kept me entertained while we went from class to class together.
It was the period before lunch which was biology. This meant that Nelly and I would finally be in the same class together. Lucky for me, an empty desk placed me and Nelly at the same table with his friends in front of us and Mary and Grace behind us.
I quickly introduced Mary and Grace to my brother before the teacher came in to the class.
"You made friends with them very quickly." Nelly said as soon as the class had started. He had a small smile playing on his lips.
"Just by luck. I had bumped in to Grace right after you left." I said trying to ignore the pride in his voice.
"So are you having lunch with them?" He said as he took notes on the lesson.
"I think so. Are you eating with Michelle?" I tried to sound as emotionless as possible.
"You sound disappointed." Nelly said looking at me out of the corner of his eye. When I didn't respond he put down his pen and looked at me fully, trying to see if he could tell what I was thinking. I knew that if he did that long enough he might get a hint. It was a Carter twin thing. "Lu, what's wrong?"
"It's my first day at school and you are going to be enjoying lunch with your new friends."
"It's part of the mission. We both have our parts to play, Lu."
"Whatever." I started focusing all my attention on the teacher's words and not on Nelly. He looked at me for a few more minutes before sighing and continuing with his note taking. Today was not going the way I wanted it to.
I think that school officially sucked.
