Aria De Luca Nera walked across the marble floor with unhurried steps, her heels echoing softly beneath the chandelier’s fractured glow. Men who ruled cities straightened in their seats. Men who commanded armies avoided her gaze.

Fear had a language.

She spoke it fluently.

She stopped at the head of the table.

“Report,” she said.

Her voice was calm. Controlled. Sharp enough to cut.

A man cleared his throat, fingers tightening around a digital tablet. “The shipment was intercepted near the eastern docks. We’ve confirmed interference from the Serrano network, but—”

“But,” Aria repeated softly.

The word alone was enough.

She turned her head just slightly. The man froze.

“There is no ‘but,’” she said. “There is only success… or consequences.”

No one spoke.

No one breathed.

She stepped closer to the table, her presence pressing down like weight. “If they think testing us will earn them ground,” she continued, “then let them learn how expensive mistakes can be.”

She reached into her coat and placed a single black card on the table.

A name was printed in silver.

Everyone recognized it.

Understanding spread through the room like a silent execution order.

“Make the arrangements,” Aria said. “Tonight.”

Heads nodded in unison.

Failure was not an option when the queen was watching.

She turned and walked out without another word, leaving behind a room filled with men who knew one thing for certain:

The city still stood because she allowed it to.

And tonight—

Someone would fall.
