Warsaw, Poland [September, 1942]

    Rain rolled to her side within the confines of her coffin, her cheek brushing against the soft velvet lining beneath her frame. 

The sun was setting and it would soon be time to rise.  

Sighing to herself, unrest troubled her heart. Day by day the all consuming hate of war was growing with no end in sight. Rain's stomach churned at the thought of the fighting that was devouring the human world. With each passing hour, there were more gun shots and explosions, more deaths and indiscriminate killings. Not even an immortal could escape. 

    Decades prior, Rain had witnessed what humans had named the Great War. It left scarred memories in her mind that she would never forget. Bodies strewn across fields and blood spilt without remorse. Europe had been crippled nearly beyond recognition as the sanity of an entire world was lost in the endless haze of battles. 

Already strained relations between nations reached their breaking point. Angers flared and like the flames of an uncontrollable wildfire, countries were pulled one by one into the conflict. The lives of the innocent became the disposable pawns of their governments. Men, women and children were pulled into the circle of hate and accusation, until soon almost nothing was left.
