Description
These are the stories that started it all for me.
Road Racer started as a short story written while I was out of work around May of 2019. It was based on the Put-in-Bay Road Races in Ohio, which seeked to bring the reader back to a time and place where motorsports was a sport for the Sportsman, Desperado and Gladiator alike. I later expanded that story to 5 short stories, each somewhat self-contained, that expanded upon the life and blossoming friendship of sportsman driver Jack Martin and the mysterious rookie and rare female driver Stephanie McClaire through the 1955 Sportscar season.
Today, as I write this, I'm busy expanding Road Racer into a full length novel. A crazy tale early readers have described as Speed Racer meets Doctor Who. It's not quite ready for the light of day just yet, but in the meantime, I hope you enjoy these Short Stories and other random projects I post along the way. This one is the bedrock, the Origins of Road Racer!
