Shock, confusion, anger, and all the other emotions he couldn't quite put into words surged through Prince Liam as he watched his sister's future husband walk down the aisle. "What," he whispered under his breath, his voice barely audible in the grand cathedral.

If the man proceeding toward the altar was the same prince charming his sister had been gushing about for the past year, then Liam felt as though he might be sick. There was no denying the stranger's appeal. He was strikingly handsome, with a god-like handsomeness that drew everyone's attention. His voice, a deep and smooth timbre, had the power to make you feel like you were floating, especially when he called your name...

But Liam needed to focus. He couldn't believe that the man he had been spending so much time with was about to marry his sister. Sure, they were only friends, but the man could have mentioned it. A simple, "Hey, Liam, we won't be seeing each other anymore; I'm getting married," would have sufficed.

"Are you okay? You seem a bit distant," a concerned voice asked from beside him.

"I'm fine," Liam replied with the soft-spoken voice that everyone expected from him. It was one of his trademarks. He was known as the 'cute but somewhat dim' prince of his family, the Arkeman family's lovable idiot. Yet, the prince about to marry his sister knew him as anything but stupid. Speaking of his sister's fiancé, wasn't she supposed to marry a mentally ill prince whom she would transform, just like in the fairy tales?

Liam couldn't help but wonder how he was mentally unstabl, he could swear that each time they met he was the normal one between them. His sister, Princess Elara, was known for her philanthropic efforts, and their family had decided she should marry a prince who was crazy and mentally not well to show how 'kind' she was.

The ceremony continued, but Liam's mind raced. He tried to focus on the priest's words, but the turmoil inside him was overpowering. A jumble of emotions unknown swirled inside him. They were just bed friends, right?

Right.

But could he bear to see the man he had grown so close to become his brother-in-law? İt felt to him like another cycle of his sister getting everything and him not getting anything.

The engagement ceremony reached its pinnacle, and the couple exchanged vows of promise one done during the engagement before marriage,Liam, still trying to grasp the situation, kept his feelings hidden behind a facade of happiness.

Happy for his sister.

He knew that secrets had a way of being revealed eventually, but for now, he would keep his emotions in check. 

But he needed air he wasn't sure what was suffocating him but he needed to breath.
