Diane Summers…witty and ambitious, Amy Rose...giddy and funny, are best friends who work for the same advertising corporation, they earn a lousy-pay and their repetitious duties are becoming boring. With the constant filing of paperwork, answering phones, and entertaining corporate clients who are (sometimes mean and bossy); their thoughts are “it’s time to make a career change”! Diane and Amy are inspired by a newspaper help wanted-ad for space-freighter pilots/operators, they had come across; their thoughts are …(this is the best career change, ever offered). The ad reads “open positions for space-freighter pilots, to deliver merchandise an enjoy the feeling of not being stuck in one place, meet interesting people, travel the galaxy and get paid the big-bucks.” Diane and Amy are ‘ecstatic’ about the ad. Diane and Amy sign-up to become space freighter pilots; after they complete their training course, they are teamed-up with Sandra Brooks…(a tough and somewhat, vulgar) young woman. The girls have to deal with a variety of vexations: such as, confrontations with space pirates, looters, deadbeat clients that (try to, not pay) the shipping coast and lousy pay-cuts due to damaged merchandise. Despite their everyday problems that occur, Diane and Amy think about all of the places they will get to visit. In the mist of all the situations that are taking place, a professional jewel-thief uses the very same space-freighter delivery service, that the girls work for, to send cargo containing stolen gemstones that are worth millions, are hidden among other material to be shipped to anther location for distribution. During the elapsing time in shipping the cargo; the person who had shipped the cargo, had an accident resulting in death, the cargo went unclaimed and was up for grabs, for whomsoever discovered it.
