Set in an alternate reality that sees the return of creatures (Orisha) once considered myth after a catastrophic war of the global North, we now see a world plagued by creatures hellbent on eliminating humanity the way we once did to them in times of old.

We join elite mercenary SPOEK (Afrikaans slang for ghost, pronounced like 'book') and his team as they are sent on missions to take out the most dangerous of these creatures that are found in their South African area of operations. SPOEK has earned a reputation of havign a spotless completion record, despite his unique approaches to mission and generous use of military supplies.

His latest mission seems like any other - take out a dangerous witch causing problems in an old Johannesburg mansion. It may just be, however, that SPOEK is about to learn a little humility at the red-stained hands of an unexpected foe.
