Artemis tapped her ebony combat boots on the concrete floor of a classroom, arms tied behind a chair. She puffed her cheeks and stared into the one-sided mirror that covered the wall she faced.

"I know you're there, hero scum," the villain, still Artemis, called out in the cold air. She could see her breath in white puffs of smoke. Setting the rope that contained her aflame, Artemis stood up and made her way to the mirror.

"Whatever type of villain brainwashing technique you're thinking of isn't going to change me, or my brother. Might as well stop now before you get burned."
