Harry walked through the dark cold woods. He was ready to die. Ready for it all to end.
He looked up through the trees and could see all of the dark wizards waiting for him. There, in the middle, stood Voldemort. Harry took one more breath before revealing himself.
Voldemort laughed, having finally won. He looked at Potter who only down. "Look up boy! I said before, I want to watch the light leave your eyes when I kill you. Look up." And so Harry did.
The dark lord stopped in his tracks. As he looked, for possibly the first time, into this boys eyes, he saw no light. There was no hope. No fire. His eyes were dull and empty. Harry looked so tired and broken. As if he'd possibly... No, no. Voldemort shook his thoughts from his head. Now was not the time to think that.
He raised his wand again. Green light splurged out of the end, knocking the boy to the ground. A screeching pain shot through him, knocking him to the ground as well. It was over. Had he really done it? After all this time? He looked over at the Malfoy woman and made her check for him. She bent down and sat there a moment before turning back and looking at him.
A second passed before she spoke, though it felt like an eternity. "Dead."
Voldemort was dumbstruck. After 16 years of fighting, he'd come out on top. His followers began to celebrate, but he just sat down on some roots, taking it all in. Voldemort knew that he should be happy and celebrating with the others but, he felt so sad. Harry's eyes flashed in his mind again. Voldemort shook his head standing up. He made preparations to travel to Hogwarts.
Harry was in Kings Cross Station. He talked with Dumbledore a bit. Harry was so done. He didn't want to fight anymore as he half listened to what Dumbledore was saying. The old man saw this and stopped.
"In the other hand. You could just not go back." He said suddenly. Harry looked at him confused. "Harry, I'm afraid I have not been kind to you. I know of your hardships. I may have inflicted many of them myself, but I had always hoped that in the end you'd be stronger for it. I can completely understand if it was just to much." Harry looked down, not saying a word.
Dumbledore continued in that knowing matter he does. "On the other hand. Maybe you want to stay. To protect if anything. Harry, I'm going to tell you something that you may not believe." Harry just looked at the old man. "There is a man out there alive right now, who has been driven his whole life. After this war, no matter the outcome, it will not end well. It's already to late. Tell me, do you remember Miss Granger's time turner?" Harry nodded Dumbledore then took a golden necklace off and handed it the the Potter boy. The time turner. "Now, if you so choose to stay here, you can. However if you want to go back, I ask you to turn that 4 times and find forgiveness for the snake that troubles us all."
Harry shot out of Hagrid's arms and looked at Vomimort. For a single moment, they shared eye contact. Harry immediately started the time turner. Dodging spells and hexs as he did.
In the moment there eyes met, Voldemort got a look into Harry's eyes once again. Still dull and empty, but there was a spark there. If only for the moment. What was the boy up to? Next thing anybody knew, he was gone. Everyone just kinda sat there in awkward silence nobody having a clue what had just happened.
