This is a story of a young man named Ichthyander who was given a life-saving transplant - a set of shark gills. The experiment is a success but it limits the young man's ability to interact with the world outside his ocean environment. He has to spend much of his time in water. He falls in love with the woman loved by Don Pedro - the leader of local organized crime group. Their relationships is the main storyline. When Don Pedro learns about Ichthyander and tries to exploit his superhuman diving abilities in his own purpose.
