Tala, a skillful engineer, works and lives with her adopted sister, Lin. They reside in a city called The New Nile, for its abundance and diversity. She is asked by Alena, the next leader of the city, to rebuild a power plant so they can expand on their city's power supply. Things go wrong, secrets are revealed and a new threat looms over the post-apocalyptic new world.
