Description

Lumen spends his quiet days tucked beneath the safety of lush forests surrounding his home. The land of Silva was once plagued with endless war between Humans and Elves, though they have reached a delicate peace there are some who have yet to let go of their hatred.

Lumen, son of a Human woman and an Elven man, faces daily scowls and veiled threats due to nothing but his blood and heritage. He never wanted any problems, he longed to blend in, or even disappear completely. Either would suffice for him.

To make matters worse, Lumen is stricken with an unknown illness. Pain consumes him near daily, and nothing has yielded results for a cure. In desperation, Lumen seeks answers in the great city of Astradel. An Elven city known for their advanced magics and medicines may be his only chance at finding a cure. The journey would be long and surely dangerous, Lumen had little to no knowledge of the world outside of his small life.

At a loss for what to do, Lumen seeks a mercenary for hire to escort him to Astradel safely. Umbra, a man of beast blood offers his service to Lumen.

Lumen could have never known what would transpire, how tightly woven their fates would be. Would he resist his instincts and cling to what he thought was reason? Will he succumb to Umbra, who seems to understand Lumen better than he understands himself?

An intimate journey of self acceptance set in a fantasy world.
